High hopes for a slow service - This place is stunning! Located on the waterfront, it offers an amazing view on the lake, food... was nice but the service is laking in knowledge and speed. We waited so long to get some water to our table that I ended upgoing to ask a host at the entrance to get some water to be delivered to our table and we waited for a waiter to come for everystep of the dinner for ever each time (table wasn't cleared of empty glasses, etc), such a shame as this place is so beautifuland the food is pretty good. Cocktails were well executed so thank you to our bartender but service needs some seriousimprovement (speed, knowledge, behaviour) comparing to the prices offered on the menu. What a wonderful dining experience. From a waiter so skilled, to scallops perfectly seared and served in an amazing exotic... sauce. Chilled, firm prawns with a spicy cocktail sauce. A rack of some of the best lamb we’d ever had, wonderful locallyproduced Chardonnay—Burrowing Owl. Classy dishes and serious flatware. Came here for Sunday brunch today. Amazing patio that is super relaxing. Loved the brunch buffet - most of all, our server... lauren was excellent! She was so friendly and personable and gave us tons of great recommendations for the rest of our day. Givethat gal a raise! Read more
Fantastic location. The lights on the boardwalk are very festive and the whole atmosphere is perfect. The food isn’t... extravagant, certainly not for the price, and can definitely be found somewhere else for a more affordable price. It’s stillgood, but is only a bit above average. Used to love taking people out here... Very cheaply designed patio; mister set up is terrible, the tables along the boardwalk... have umbrellas that do nothing but tease you and with black trim on everything you burn the backs of you legs or arms every timeyou move. Not to mention the staff moral is pretty dull. Great ambiance and amazing service. The food however was abysmal. I ordered the boardwalk burger. The burger Pattie’s were... frozen and dry, the bacon was clearly from the morning and just sat under a heat lamp for the entirety of the day. It justlacked any sense of taste and flavor. I never write reviews but this was bad enough it warranted one. Especially when you pay$38 for something you could go to McDonald’s for and be more satisfied for a fraction of the cost. Read more
Delicious local food. High quality dishes with great flavours and heart eyes worthy plating. Made for a lovely dinner as we... stayed in the hotel, but I'd honestly go back any time. We also went back a week later for high tea with my mother in law, itwas fantastic. And great value for the accompaniments and sunny views. I think the high tea tea pots could be better quality,some felt like they came from the thrift shop and I only cared because they didn't pour very cleanly which is not ideal. It took an hour to be served cocktails and no food. I ended up not being able to order dinner because it took too long for the... server to ask us for our food order. Looking at how the menu was priced I anticipated better service. Great cocktail selection &pretty ambivalence. Read more
