I used to live in Kempner, right up the street from this jewel. Took my father to Lampasas to visit my 97 year old great aunt... and we stopped here and devoured a couple schnitzel sandwiches. We stopped by on our way home and picked up a couple more. Fresh baked bread and lean schnitzel that is huge. Excellent home cooked German food. Read more

This was my first time eating here! I have heard of it before but never had the chance to try it until today! This place was... AMAZING! Their bread is awesome! We ordered a Schnitzel Sandwich and a Rahm Schnitzel! The pork cutlet was not dry and it had agreat flavor! The cucumber salad was a hit! I also tried the tomato salad and it?s also a must!! I will definitely be back totry more items off the menu! When I have some time, I am definitely going to treat myself to their German beer!! My wife and I drove from temple tx to eat there as I love German food. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent and... brought me back to the time when I was stationed in Germany. The waitress, who?s name is Palma was excellent. She answered allof our questions about the food and even helped my wife pick the right idea on the menu. The delicious cake we had was madethere an it was wonderful! An excellent choice if you like German food and a nice environment. Thank you to all of the peoplethat work there and the wonderful food.
