They said; you have to, so we did. Parking must be planed, but once that obstacle is cleared, I believe the experience will be... worth it. At least ours was. As we came in we we’re great it nicely, our server was super attentive, a special table next tothe water topped the harmonious clean and modern sophisticated decor. Food was simple but to the point. Great flavors, wines anddrinks for children’s. We hope your experience top ours. Read more

I’ve only tried clam chowder, and that was exactly what I desired with given weather. Wait was about 25 min to get a table for... 2, and there’s no reservation, live line only. I saw servers carrying other food, fish and chips looked great and it was a bigplate, enough to share too I’d say Read more

Came here to enjoy some drinks and small plates along while visiting other places along the way. The restaurant itself is... upscale and in a beautiful location along the river. The food was good as well. However, my experience with the staff wasextremely unpleasant. It was very busy and the wait was over an hour long. We decided to try to find a spot at the bar and wewere lucky and within a few minutes three seats opened up at one of the two bars. When you place your order for oysters you'regiven a sheet of what is available to pick from to write down how many you'd like. Our party each picked what they wantedseparately and then we also put in an order for some cocktail shrimp. When the oysters arrived they gave us a different sheetand the shrimp wasn't on there anymore. We asked the bartender where our sheet was and him and another waitress insisted thatwas our sheet. We told them it wasn't even any of our handwriting and they told us we were lying over and over. Completelyunprofessional and rude. Read more

My wife and I had a very pleasant experience at the Boathouse this evening. Considering it was a holiday weekend we only had to... wait about 15 mins to be seated. It was well staffed and everyone looked like they were chipping in to make things movesmoothly. Chelsea was our waitress and she was fabulous. Personable, pleasant and provided great suggestions. We both had aspeciality drink which was good, but nothing extraordinary. We shared a boathouse salad which was very good, a great mixture oflettuce and veggies. For the main course we both had the Shrimp and Scallops with lobster fried rice. This was excellent...shrimp and scallops were done perfectly. Small chunks of lobster in the fried rice. Just the right amount of food. For dessertwe had the Maine blueberry crisp...and it was fantastic (I love Maine blueberries) The overall experience was great! Read more

Decent food and variety in a pretty venue with a covered outside patio, but on the expensive side for not an expensive... presentation. The vegetables were the best part with a buttery garlic sauce. The baked haddock was quite soft like chowder, and texture people might not like it, but the breadcrumbs balanced it out. I enjoyed the roast beef sandwich and it was healthywith lots of dark lettuce, and the fries were identical to McDonald's. Basic beers were $8 a cup, lobster Mac was $48... Therewere other restaurants with it for $32 in the area that were same quality. It's good food but I'd stick to sandwiches and beershere and save your big fancy dinner outing for elsewhere. I read that this is a famous lobster roll place so we gave it a try. I think it’s a tad pricey compared to other locations but... so far this has been the better tasting one. Bun was fresh as well as the lobster meat. The lobster meat was cooked right, notovercooked. Location is just perfect, center of Dock Square. The staffs are very friendly. We tried the clamari and chips andthey’re very good as well. Read more

The food was very good. Staff was awesome and the portion to price was spot on. Rock Island oysters were phenomenal and so was... the seared shrimp and scallop. Very good clam chowder. We ate in the gondola outside. Phenomenal experience but obviously dresswarm in the winter, the gondola has one small heater. Read more
