Been eating here for roughly 15yrs or so. I’m a NOLA native. I have never found better Chinese in the NOLA or metro area. My... Cajun chef husband has been introduced and agrees. I cannot praise this place enough. It’s like a comforting aunt when youwant a good home cooked meal. When my dad was ill and he could only eat certain items, red apple it was. It’s been a staplefor most of my life. Everyone must at least try it. I won’t give recs because it doesn’t matter what you get. It’s allgreat. We will be moving to chicago soon. I truly hope they consider opening a location there. If not, it’s ok. I’ll visitand make it a must have. This was our first time ordering from here and was pretty good. The mandarin chicken was very good and I thought the sauce was... better here when compared to other places I've been to. Beef and broccoli was also good, but I was a little disappointed in theWonton soup. There was only a few noodles and a few pieces of green onions. Normally wonton soup should have bok choy or nappacabbage. But overall pretty good. Read more
Love their Beef Lo Mein! We live just 2 minutes away so it’s our go to but the more I try I find hidden gems! Mongolian Beef... with lo mein combo. I’d take a picture but I’m almost done! They don’t over spice even if it says spicy. I love spicy soI add some Sriracha and the kids love it as it. Works great!!! Love my neighborhood go to spot! Read more
Just returned my Hot and sour soup. This location has tlotally declined in their quality of food. They are cutting ingredients... that are normally in their soup. I got a hot and sour soup that was an egg drop soup with a couple of sliced mushrooms andabout 4 shavings of carrots. No toufu or any green onions. How SAD. .... It was always a good hearty full ingredient soup..Not anymore......I was a good Custer and enjoyed going there for food. Now they skimp on everything' and prices are up. Iunderstand that prices have increased on most everything since Covod and shutdowns but I don't understand why this place haschanged to give you less food.,.. and change their recipes with lesser ingredients. It stands out like a sore thumb. I'm verydisappointed with them now. They have lost my business. I hope you readers relate to this post. This has been going on formonths now. I finally have had it. Sad to say , its a no . Used to be really good .Prices increased shortly after pandemic . Spent 50$ The food was just... ???????????? i spend so much money on red apple not nomore . When i tell you the food is not fresh at all . The pork rice is notfresh ! Hard and rarely any vegetables or pork . I ordered boneless ribs recieved bone in didnt think it was bad but i tell youthe food had been cooked and sat for such long periods you could taste it point is if you want fresh food this is not itdefinitely not for the price increases theyve done !!!!! I just had my first experience at this restaurant and was very happy with it. The server took my to go order and said it would... be 10 minutes. It felt more like 4 or 5 it came up so quickly. While I was waiting, several regulars came in and the serverknew them and their usual orders. That is an impressive level of service that is sadly becoming more uncommon. I got thepan-fried dumplings and General Tso's chicken. They were both excellent, but I couldn't finish everything. You definitely getyour money's worth. I'll definitely be back. Read more
Usually like this place. The food was horrible. The rice smelled and tasted sour. The chicken was hard and also tasted like... it was left out too long. The egg rolls were terrible hard bad tasting and smelled. I had two plates and my friend orderedtwo... i prefer fresh tasting food. Also the cashier was somewhat rude.
