First time here but not the last. Small and intimate dining, cloth table cloths and napkins. We ordered from the lunch menu... chicken la Marsala, it was excellent can't wait to try other menu items. The owner and chef was also our server and he is also areal Italian! Food was great, the service was great, the atmosphere was great. I normally wouldn't leave a bad review, but after being charged $57 for a meal I couldn't eat was beyond disappointing. I wanted... to try Italia Mediterranean because of all the good reviews, when I walked up to the door I was a bit skeptical due to only 1customer inside and he looked just as disappointed (He eventually got up and left upset). I ordered a raspberry Bellini, (waytoo sweet more like syrup) I asked the waiter to replace with a glass of sparkling red wine. The red wine although cold,sparkling and seemed fresh was not. It had a vinegar taste to it, like it had been sitting for months. The beef Cannellonilooked really delicious, but once I ate my 1st and 2nd fork full I quickly realized it was too salty. The only thing worthcomplimenting was the warm pita bread. I paid my tab and left! I eat out almost everyday so I know good food and drink. This fine dining experience was exceptional first because of the savory food and second because of the staff. It makes me happy... when the Chef takes a moment to greet the guest. I ordered the Mediterranean Spaghetti and was pleased. Although, I would haveenjoyed a few more neck clams in this dish, it still was satisfying. Had a full meal for two including two adult beverages and dessert. Food was great, just the right portions, service was... excellent, price was a little high but not too bad, the location was hard to find but it did khe crowd to a minimum. I don'tthink I've given 5 stars since rating the restaurants actually in Italy! Read more
First time eating here. I will say that from what I saw I found the restaurant to be very clean and I appreciated that. I can... say I thought it was odd how all the excess dining ware was left on the table after the two of us were seated. It somewhatcluttered the table after our bread was brought. After we were situated my boyfriend got up to use the restroom, he then quicklyreturned and I was slightly confused. He then told me when he went back there a small boy was just sitting on the toilet withthe door open on a phone or a Switch so he just turned around and came back to the table. I see no issue with owners oremployees having their children at a restaurant but I found that to be unacceptable. I know this wasn’t another a customer’schild because this happened when we were the first customers there for dinner. Next, our server seemed to hover around us. Atfirst I thought he was just a little awkward, which it’s fine if people are, but he seemed to be always at our table. It wasslightly off putting. In terms of the food I thought it was okay. The bruschetta tasted like any other I had and my pasta wasfine. I felt like there was an over abundance of cocoa powder on the tiramisu though. A wonderful Italian restaurant. Great tasting homemade pasta, out of this world gnocchi and awesome meatballs. We split the... large Nona salad, (Very good!) Luigi and Sylvia are a delight. Almost forgot, the tiramisu was awesome as well. They are trueItalians! We will be back! Read more
