Like I said, it WAS good a decade ago. The 3 times it was good allowed me to give you more tries AT THE OLD BUILDINGS. The... subsequent visits SUCKED. I did not want to complain to him because he was a nice guy. I was supporting a local business. Forthe 1st time at the corner location, I picked it up to go. Ordered it real-time. Fried catfish that won't break with a knifeor your teeth should not be the case fresh out the grease or 2 hours later. So that's really not an excuse. Here I amrepeating myself: either people have given up on good fried catfish OR I just happened to have a really, really bad experience. If you want to "fix" it, great. I'd love to sing your praises and make sense out of your place being award winning becauseright now? Something is wrong and I have wasted $15-$20 on inedible food. It's not my fault you don't get it. Here, let memake it simple for you. YOUR FOOD SUCKED. IT WAS TRASH. Yes, that's why I threw it away. NOTHING changed about my story. Itwas good years ago. ALL SUBSEQUENT VISITS HAVE BEEN STRAIGHT GARBAGE whether it was a while back or last week. Let me beclear. 3 times good. All other times bad. It was bad a decade ago. It was bad last week. Your immature attack of yourcustomer speaks volumes to what and who you are. I'm quite happy, but your food sucks. It was chewy. It was like rubber. There was more breading than fish. Pathetic. Not to mention the angry lady up front, but I digress. Thank you for belittlingme for trying your restaurant again. Your character seems to match your jacked up fried catfish. Respond to the earlier? LOL. ooook. You be right. Yes, your 1st response was quite sorry. As a matter of fact, the 2 stars was a courtesy score. It washonestly a 1 star experience. I mean think about it, IT WAS LITERALLY TRASH. Money wasted. Read more

Ok, 3 times, probably 10 years ago, we had the absolute best catfish we'd had in a while. Fast forward to today, I decided to... try it again because the next 7 experiences were horrific. I'm afraid that trend continued. Fries? Fine. Cole slaw? Flavorless. Hushpuppies? Not bad. But the catfish filets were WAAAAAAY overcooked, paper thin, & hard to chew. I'm throwing away half myorder. It's just that bad. I have no clue how this restaurant has 4 or 5 stars if these other reviewers had what I had. Iwanted it to be good again, but I guess that's gone forever. I am happy they re-opened though. Read more

First timers. We ordered the fried catfish fillets and fried okra. It came with two big hush puppies. The catfish was coated... lightly in cornmeal, crispy and not at all greasy. We enjoyed our lunch and will be back. Read more

The catfish and hush puppies were great. The seasoning and batter were spot on. The onion rings were delicious and just like... my Dad use to make. More onion than batter with a crispy crust. This was one of my Dad's favorite places to go before he passed(their old location across from Walmart) and where he introduced his grandsons to mouth watering taste of fried catfish. Bothmy sons were hooked on fried catfish after eating here with him. Read more

I've been going to this restaurant every since it was on Cobb Parkway in Kennesaw by Walmart. That's when it was good they... gave you a good portion of food and it was well worth the money. But every since they moved downThis restaurant is not at up topar at all. The food be cold the portions are small and the fish be little and Cooked hard. I've been there about 7 timesstraight and the food is never right. I'm very disappointed because this was a good restaurant when it was good but now it'sterrible I will take my business to Marietta diner from now on. Read more

The staff were wonderful and the food was so good. I've been craving catfish and this absolutely hit the spot. The hush puppies... are some of the best I've had! So crunchy, yet still super light and fluffy. Read more

I?m from a rural town in GA where Fish Friday?s was a staple. I?ve noticed since we?ve been up here that it?s hard to find good... fried fish so it?s no knock on this restaurant alone. We had the 3 whole catfish, green beans, white beans, shrimp, and okra. I don?t even know how to explain the taste of the fish but it just wasn?t what we?re used to. It wasn?t fried hard, theseasoning was just ok, but the taste of the fish itself was the issue. I don?t know where it comes from but I believe that?sthe problem. The sides were just ok. Nothing to be excited about. The okra could have been better but they were salty. Theshrimp was beautifully fried? the batter is good but the taste of the shrimp themselves is what was lacking. The shrimp didn?thave seasoning so it tasted like rubber. A young lady sitting beside me had the onion rings which were presented beautifully! She said they were sweet. She said they tasted like funnel cake batter around them. The good thing is that the staff was verynice! This is why I gave 3 stars; it?s not the food but the staff deserved some stars! The restaurant is very cute. Veryclean and nice. You will wait at least 25 minutes for your food because they cook it to order so the fried stuff is definitelyhot and fresh out the grease! Read more
