Rosa (the owner) is so very sweet and you can?t beat this Cuban. Do yourself a favor, have a great lunch!!!!!
Dropped my son off at school and decided to treat my wife with something better than the same old Freys. Looked up this place... and was excited for a cuban breakfast sandwich and coffee. I saw they're cash only on their webpage, that's annoying but I wentto an ATM. It's 8:05 on a Tuesday and their webpage and the sign on their door say they should be open, but they're not. Thanksfor wasting my morning! In response to the owner's reply- I walked up at 8:05 and the door was locked. I went back to my car,which I'd parked around the side of the building, and pulled it up in front of the business to wait a bit and see if it opened.I also called the business, but no one answered. After 5 more minutes I saw zero activity (no one opened the door, went in,turned around or lit up an 'Open' sign, turned on lights inside the business that were visible from outside, etc) and at 8:10 orso I left. The Cuban Espresso was on point!! Wish they had a better breakfast selection, but I think they?re open early to draw the lunch... crowd. I ended up having a beef empanada which was pretty good. Authentic Cuban establishment. Read more
One of the best Cuban restaurants in Tampa! The owner treated us like family. We knew the sandwiches were going to be good as... soon as we seen how he spoke to everyone and us! And sure enough!! The sandwiches hit the spot! My mom is picky with her cafecon leche (bien clarito) Jajaja and he made it just the way she liked it! Thank you! We plan on coming back next time we?re infrom Chicago! When our fav Cuban breakfast spot closed in Tampa la Ideal, we had to find cafe con leche on this side of the bridge, I called... M&G and Roberto from Miami said he is the King of cafe con leche, and he did not disappoint! The espuma was thick n creamy, andthe drink itself was luscious! We like 2 eggs over easy on top of our tamales, Cuban toast and Cholula hot sauce. So Yummy! Andso much closer to home! 10 min. away. We were some happy Gringos!! Read more
