Great food and have been coming here for years. Last night, as always food was good, waiter was awesome, but we were truly... saddened by the attitude of the owner. She was not friendly, and seemed quite bothered when we asked her for something for thetable and even more snippy when we forgot the tip had to be in cash and had to ask her for change. I hate to say it, but thiswas probably our last time coming here. ????. When paying those prices for a meal, the owner should be friendly and grateful. Read more
First time dining here today for brunch. Positives: husband had the pancakes and reported that they were delicious. Friendly... service. Opportunities for improvement: I had the two eggs with sausage and potatoes, toast. Everything was good, but onlyreceived about 4 potato pieces. Menu could use a pastry starter such as cinnamon roll or scones etc… parking lot ischallenging - pot hole central and very small. Read more

???? Catherine's in Unionville - We wanted a place to eat near Longwood Gardens so I think someone in this group recommended it.... It has a very charming outside and inside setup - kind of farmhouse chic. We got the seared tuna with blackberry jalapenocoulis, black angus cheese burger, very thick cut applewood smoked bacon and eggs benedict - all extremely delicious. It isalso fairly wheelchair accessible ( at the table next to us someone was in a wheelchair although I don't think the bathrooms hadaccessible entries) Great find if you don't want to deal with the long lines at the crowded Longwood eating options. We discovered Catherine's by accident when we drove by it on our way back to Delaware from somewhere else. We were very... impressed overall. The setting is lovely. The is plenty of seating indoors and the outdoor garden seating is beautiful in niceweather. Our server was friendly and very knowledgeable regarding the menu. Everything was delicious from the hot crusty breadwith homeade tapanade, to a delicious scallop appetizer, and excellent main courses. We also appreciated not being rushed so wecould enjoy being outdoors on a lovely evening. A couple of notes if you plan to attend. 1. Tips are given in cash only whichwas the one thing we found strange. You can pay for the meal with a card but you can't tip with one. 2. Parking, and entry tothe restaurant is in the back. 3. The restaurant, like many in Kennett Square, is BYOB. All those things side Catherine's iswell worth a visit! Read more

I always drive by and finally stopped in for dinner. I was reluctant at first due to some of the reviews but I was not... disappointed. I am a seafood lover and their menu had lots of it. Everything tasted delicious and the dessert was excellent. We live in Downingtown now and support the local restaurants. We used to live in Philadelphia where there is abundance of goodfood and we travel around the world so we have high standards. This has far been the best meal we've had in the area. Weordered the mushroom soup, salmon/crab special, shrimp appetizer, pumpkin cheesecake, key lime pie, lobster feta salad. Therewere only 3 servers but they were prompt and kind. They have an outside patio which would be nice to dine at when it'swarmer. The dining room was a bit dark but set the ambiance. Would return here again. Read more
