Visiting longwood gardens and ended up here for dinner. It was definitely the right choice. We shared four appetizers; shrimp,... octopus, potatoes and the charcuterie. Everything was delicious. Everything was fresh and very tasty. I can’t even count howmany times I complimented the food, it was that good! Next we had the Caesar and wedge salads. Again, probably one of the bestsalads we’ve ever had. Finished with the garlic/ricotta wood fired pizza. Again, very impressed. The greens on the pizza addeda nice horseradish type bite to the pizza. The crust was fresh and airy, not too crispy. Dare I say, perfect?! Please doyourself a favor and eat here. We will definitely make the drive again just to eat here. Read more
Pizza!!! We had all the pizza. Fig and bacon, garlic and ricotta, margharita, and sopresatta....all so good...crust on the... thinner side and with the big burnt bubbles. Water is with no ice and I loved it. Garlic bread is crsipy and delicious. Thepizzas are shareable size....probably at least 12-15 inches across. The music was a little weird - it started out like kinda bigband or "Italian-sounding" and moved to 00's clubbing songs. The hostesses were also pretty much dressed in street clothes anddidn't look like they worked there... ut neither of those things really affected anything. Food and service were good! Read more
First time ever eating here. First, I make pizzas for a living and am pretty critical a out my pies. I was welcomed into Hearth... with such positive energy , and after the day I had, was a great feeling. They hooked me up with a spot near an outlet as myphone was on 0% ... so appreciated. The Margarita Pizza is the best wood fired pie I have ever had in my life and the first timeI ever ate pizza that I was mildly jealous of. Finished with a Caesar salad that was top notch. Albert was my server and he helpturn my day around just by being so professional yet, totally cool and down to earth. Would give this place 6 stars if I wasallowed to. We were in town for the night and it was very close to our hotel with few other options locally within a mile or 2. The service... was good but one complaint is that the mains arrived to the table while we were still eating our appetizer. Please can we getsome time between? Our reservation was at 8:30 (and we were on time) and I know they were very eager to close the kitchen at 9,but you should still plan service off the 2 courses accordingly. The food was ok. We both got the chicken parm. The chickenseemed a bit over cooked but the pasta on the side was very good. I think the pastas are homemade. Read more
New to the area and wanted to try it out. We had the boar and the Ricotta gnocchi dishes. Both were delicious yet the gnocchi... dish was superb. Bursting with abundant yet balanced and rich flavor. I wish there was more. Pudding dessert was nice and notoverly sweet and followed by a double espresso. I would definitely return here. Enjoyed the atmosphere, decor has a lounge vibewith great jazzy tunes. The only thing I would change was the volume level. Perhaps just a hint lower. Read more
Traveling through the area and came across this place, I sat at the bar and had some nice cocktails and the meatball appetizer... which was very good! I got the shrimp scampi to go and it was delicious, staff was very nice and who I assume was the managerwas helping everyone when it got busy from the bartender to the pizza guy. Pizza looked delicious although I didn’t get it. Iwould recommend this restaurant! Read more
Great menu and wine list plus excellent service on a busy evening were a pleasant surprise to out-of-town guests. Servers were... well trained, well-informed, and welcoming. I would definitely go back if I visit the area again! Read more
We sat outside which I liked. The cauliflower appetizer was excellent (so excellent that my group of 3 ordered a second... plateful!). They had lost a lot of glasses in some sort of accident that day so they didn't have glasses for wine...so we satfor a long time waiting for our drinks. I will go again for some cauliflower, pizza, and wine to meet up with friends but it'snot a special occasion type place-- they don't seem to do anything for birthdays. Read more
