Most of the reviews are grossly exaggerated in comparison to my friend and I?s experience. The room was clean and not tiny as... some other reviews would have you believe (okay yes the room isn?t modern-looking but: who cares?), also they accomodated thefact we arrived and departed while the desk was closed. My only complaint is that they forgot to leave a pen for me to sign thereceipt. Read more

Where should I start with this review. It has been said many times in the reviews below but this place is awful. Our room was... significantly outdated, stinky, stained carpet, peeling walls and to finish it off our mattress was set on top of bricks. Howdoes that sound for $150 a night? They had nothing to say when we checked out a night earlier when I complained about thecondition of the room. Apparently, there are renovated rooms at the motel so if after this review and many other similar reviewsyou still stay here at least try ask for one of those rooms. Motel location awkward to get into- part of Coop Gas station on corner.....bad parking area, no ( View)VU here of... lake????. Motel is very dated, - no curb appeal????outside needs TLC...the actual rooms were surprisingly livable...basic-nocharm - but beds comfortable, clean bathroom& towels, good when needing for an overnight stay--grossly overpriced. I only gave it one star because his site required it. In actuality, this place is a negative 100. What a nightmare!! I opened... the door and the stink of must was over powering, the window was broken and taped back together, the bedding, carpets, drapes,decor looked and smelled like it was from 1972. This place is uninhabitable and it should be removed from Expedia until theytear it down and completely rebuild it. The check in process was haphazard, the store and restaurant are dirty anddisorganized. I had my 84 year old mother with me and luckily we were able to continue on for 2.5 hours to Winnipeg becauseKenora was sold out. This place should be condemned and removed from Expedia. Read more
Room was fine. My problems with it were a lack of bath tub which doesn't actually bother me too much. Merely preference of mine.... My main reason for low rating is how wifi wouldn't connect to my phone in my room. I connected to it outside but once in my roomit couldn't reach. The convenient store with it is rad though. 2 stars is okay. It's not bad for a quick night to sleep. Read more
AVOID!! worst experience ever. rooms are uncomfortable, very dated, and unsafe. our window would not shut, the handle was... broken. beddings are minimal, AC barely worked and was super noisy. smoke detector started beeping at around 10 pm andcontinued to do so all night. because the office is closed at night until 7 am, there?s no staff around which is also unsafe. wehad to endure the beeping all night (my husband tried to disconnect the machine but couldn?t). in the morning we complained andthe staff couldn?t fix it either. we checked out early. not worth the 100$ Read more
