Very nice decor with a northern rustic look. Mary our server was super nice. The buffet was delicious and lots of different... home cooked food. We had an excellent experience here. We were in town taking our daughter to college and enjoyed the people and the food so much... we ended up eating here for dinner twice and breakfast of Saturday. The thing that makes this place special is the people ...So great! Nice friendly good folk. Really a family atmosphere. We had the salmon and it was very good. This place had a nice Northwoods decor and was comfortably casual. We ordered off the menu and the food was good, but i think we... goofed up by not ordering the salad bar which looked more like a buffet. Just about everyone else in the restaurant was eatingyummy looking fried shrimp, chicken and not sure what else. The prices were pretty good too. The only disappointment was, theyseemed to be out of every beer I ordered and I settled on something I didn't like very much. Read more
We stopped at the Birchwood grill after a very long drive from Missouri to Wisconsin. It was 8:00 p.m. and their buffet was... amazing still! The meat and the buffet was absolutely wonderful I highly recommend the ribs. Very kid friendly place and theatmosphere is like a woodland Christmas decor. I was able to meet the owner she was the one overseeing the buffet the servicewas outstanding. If you're headed over the Chicago Wisconsin border I definitely definitely recommend this place!!! We love the Friday night Buffet! So many choices cod, perch, baked cod, fried shrimp, cocktail shrimp, 2 soup, big salad bar.... Waaaay better than a Golden Corral buffet! They also have different flavors of Long Island Ice Teas :) Read more
Owned by the same family who operated Baker Street Restaurant for over 40 years, Birchwood Grill has all the charm, cheerie... service, and super food in a tremendous location off Hwy 50 and I94 in Kenosha. My first time here and I couldn't stop takingphotos. The sisters who operate the bistro (ooh-la-la) were on top of the best filled salad bar, entree table, and dessertstands, bar none in the state. We celebrated St Paddy's Day with Miller Light Green beer, and the most delicious and tendermeats, veggies, potatoes, and much more. Reservations are not required, but highly recommended. Plenty of room to spread outyour family and lots of areas to host private gatherings. Check out the photos and give your pallet a tasty adventure thisweekend. I heard they had a fish fry buffet that included various fish, shrimp and chicken, also a soup and large salad bar, our entire... party was impressed on how the food tastes and keeping it well stocked. It was busy but we were seated immediately and neverwaited in long lines to fill my plate, the waitress was very attentive removing our plates and getting refills on ice tea andsodas, the tarter and shrimp cocktail sauce was very good. Were planning a return trip to Birchwood soon for the fish fry andplan to try there weekend breakfast brunch. This place reminds me of a rustic up north restaurant with wood everywhere, itlooked very clean and after hearing how many places are short staffed I didn't notice any problems here and we tipped generouslyas I hope others do Read more
