Well, here's the thing, if I could give them more than five stars, I would! And, let me say, if people complain about the price... of the food? Well, Lord have mercy! Go to Taco Bell! 5+5???? I guess I did give them more than five stars, lol! My wife and Ihave eaten at hundreds of Mexican restaurants and grills across this country. This particular establishment is in the top 2????.My chicken fajitas were fantastic, they were sizzling, the way they're supposed to when they brought it to the table. Of coursethey had Miller in a bottle which is always a plus! My wife had the shrimp quesadillas and a Mexican salad. She said herquesadillas were the best she's ever had at any Mexican grill. And, her cocktail, or I should say strawberry daiquiri, was oneof the best she's had. The bathrooms are spotless! That is one of the keys to a restaurant and it's kitchen Believe it or not.If the bathrooms are spotless so is the kitchen! And I will say, their fried ice cream? To die for! I took a lot of picturesfeel free to look. Special mention, our server, Carol, was a wonderful young lady and was tipped accordingly, well over 25% Iknow one thing, I would come just for the fried ice cream! The service was excellent and the food was good but the portions were terrible. You get a small scoop of beans and rice with... your meal and the prices are expensive.. The server was great. She refreshed our chips and dips as needed, gave us time to place our drink order and order. On the... downside, the prices were too high for the upkeep of the restaurant to be poor and for the amount of food given. There werespider webs in every window and they had them open. The string lights hanging up had so much dust on them, it was gross to see.And the chairs need to be thrown away. They were all so rusted. We spent $70 on 2 people but for that price we would've beenbetter off going to Iguana Wana for better servings and cleanliness. Read more
Cassie was a great server. She was super friendly, asked questions to make sure our meal was exactly how we wanted it, and... visited the table often to make sure everything was good! My boyfriend and I are both in the industry also and we both thoughtshe did great ?? the food is always tasty, and the bathrooms are always neat & well stocked. The restaurant is very nice and the vibe is cool! The food wasn't the greatest. We called and asked if they have the classic... chicken nachos but they were pretty basic and not the real queso kind. Being near the water is cool though! Read more
Updated Review - 10/17/22: Always one of our favorites. I pass La Fogata every day to and from work. Sometimes I will order... food to go and pick it up on the way home. It is super easy to order online. Tonight I did just that. It was ready when Iwalked in the front door?. Service with a smile?. And a thank you! As always, the food was delicious tonight. I am a creature of habit and almost always get the same thing?. Shrimp Enchiladas with greensauce. My wife normally gets the Chicken Enchiladas. This time she got it with no sauce or cheese. We always get lots oftomatillos! I could eat that all night! The service is always friendly and fast?. and the restaurant is super clean. Extraparking is across the street.
