This was my first time trying Sal?s pizza. I ordered a 14? stuffed pizza - half cheese half sausage and mushrooms. I had not... eaten pizza in over a month (good pizza in over six months) and this really hit the spot! The dough in the crust is crispy butsoft, almost like a pretzel (just the texture not the flavor). There was just enough cheese and plenty of sauce on top. Kind ofreminds me of a grandma style pizza (cooked in a pan, buttery crust, rectangle cut with the sauce on top and cheese underneath).I normally add oregano, finely chopped fresh garlic and a drizzle of olive oil to my pizza no matter where I get it from, butSal?s is flavorful without it.
