Do you ever find yourself suddenly hungry when you get home and know you?re only hungry because of the food you know is there?... Whenever I come to Kensington I suddenly find I?m super hungry for a great sandwich from the Old Town Market. It?s actually anemotional response to having had so many good sandwiches and soups and treats there over the years. Our coffee mochas were amazing (chocolate was delightfully rich) and the service from the barista was impeccable. I also... purchased 4 bottles of prosecco from the market. When the young lady bagging it noticed I did not leave a credit card tip, shestopped bagging the bottles separately and plopped them into the box with a slight shove towards me. Ahhhh...she did not realizethat some people leave CASH tips after the service has been rendered. She did not, however, receive one from me. Read more
Wonderful wine selection and a knowledgeable staff. Seriously wasn't expecting such help. They even had some very nice reserve... bottles that were all cared for. A decent local selection of beers too. The deli was also super quick and my spouse absolutelydevoured her sandwich before I could even ask for a taste. The parking is a little bit odd, as a warning. A quaint and friendly break from your mundane weekly lunch spot. They have an espresso bar with great coffee that will cost you... a buck fifty less than Starbucks. The sandwiches are reasonably priced and the soups are delicious. The staff were very friendlyall be it a bit unprofessional. They have a great selection of wines too. Read more
