I?ve visited three different Playa Bowls locations in MD and none have disappointed me nearly as much as this one. I?ve ordered... from this location almost weekly for the past two months (I?m a glutton for punishment I guess) and have never been satisfiedwith my food. I?m not sure if there?s an issue with pre-prepping too many fruits at once or the timing/amounts of inventoryorders but I?ve not once had a bowl where I could happily eat all of the strawberries. With this bowl I was able to eat maybethree of them without gagging, and the rest I just had to toss out because they were too soggy/squishy/spoiled. I?m not sureabout the rest of the fruits so you might be safe with ordering those, but avoid the strawberries. I don?t care about visualaesthetics, I just want to be able to eat without getting nauseous. Read more
Honestly i?m so disappointed. I came in around 5 and it was empty. Only 2 other people were ahead of me. All of our orders took... forever. There were a total for 4 employees, one guy made the açaí bowl smoothie base and the other was doing the toppings.the guy doing the toppings was super distracted chatting up another employee that wasn?t even doing orders. it got to the pointthat his station had 4/5 bowls, UNTOUCHED, as he continued his conversation. But i continued to wait patiently thinking my bowlswere gonna be top tier- i was wrong. my booster bowl wasn?t filled to the top like the açaí bowl, the toppings were almostnonexistent, and they also forgot my chia seeds. you will not find me visiting this location any time in the future. i suggest retraining your employees on adequate customer service. Bowls are delicious - but they are not prepared/decorated with love (they look really messy). The location was empty (hence they... had time to prepare the bowl) and it still looked like the toppings were just thrown on top. Read more
Electric mermaid was delicious! But the service was awful! When I arrived there were 3 girls. One saw me as I entered proceeded... to ignore me, turned around and walked out the store. One was washing a blender the other was on her phone, I waited until shegot off and notices I?m there standing ready to order. The Potomac location is by far the best! I?m so thrilled I found this place! I come to Kensington every week and this is my new part of the routine because it?s sooo... delicious. Not many raw places these days have such a large selection. I'm only knocking off a star for inconsistent presentation. I order delivery for my busy work mornings and the bowls are either... extremely eloquent and photo worthy or they're messy like an eight year old packed it for delivery. The smoothie base is alwaysconsistent and the toppings never lack. Please work on delivery handling! Read more
Feel-good, healthy food for any time of the day! Fresh, bright flavors. Every bowl I've ordered has been visually appealing,... filled to the brim with toppings. The bowls could easily be split into two meals. I also like going here for smoothies after ahard work out. Highly recommend! Read more
I will get to the point. The store and chain need to post easily accessible nutritional to information. It is not on the big... menu board or the paper menu. I could not find nutritional information on the website. The bowls were pretty, packed, fresh,and tasty. We ordered different coconut bowls but both got the same. It took about 20 minutes to get our order. Lots ofreviewers commented on this. Staff is super friendly, but seem to need more training or refreshers. Bowls are a few bucks morethan comparable items in the area, but probably worth it because there is so much fresh fruit. And why no recycling can in astore that puts all products in No. 1 plastic?
