Visited 9/1 while in the area for a mini-cation. Hawkeye was highly recommended by a co-worker, and didn't disappoint. Sarah,... our server, was friendly, knowledgeable & personable. The food - appetizer combo, steak, pork chops, Wisconsin cheese soup andbacon-wrapped asparagus - were divine! Our after-dinner drinks - strawberry margarita & a dirty monkey were delicious. It was awonderful, relaxing birthday meal for my husband. Would recommend to anyone visiting the Keokuk area! Read more
Decent place with friendly staff and lot of verity on their menu. The food I had was pretty average all around, but to be fair... I didn?t try any steak! I do like that they have a bar to sit at and non-alcoholic beers available. I ordered the chickenalfredo pasta, and it was alright. It wasn?t the best alfredo sauce I?ve ever had, but for it being homemade it could definitelyuse some work or a little seasoning. The chicken was pretty average too; it could?ve been grilled a little more and seasoned,but it wasn?t terrible. I?d like to come back and have a steak some evening in the future! Read more
Best steak around! Blacked with blue cheese was amazing!!! Everything was cooked to perfection. We got our food in a timely... manner, everything was fresh and the service was very friendly. We are here two nights in a row because it was that good whiletraveling. I recommend the stake, cheese soup, mashed potatoes, ribs, and bread pudding. Worth every penny!!! Read more
We had a fairly large group and we got seated right away. The food took a little time coming but when it came it was worth it!... The bacon jalapeño chicken bites and fries were delicious! Those that got burgers and wraps were happy and the one who gotpasta had no complaints! We will be glad to eat there again if we are ever in the area! The server was amazing too! Read more
One of the only places open on Sunday and it was a great find. Reasonable prices and the food is awesome. No wonder the locals... come. The wait staff are welcoming and super knowledgeable about the menu. I opted for one of several Sunday specials and myboyfriend got the rib eye. Food was good and good size portions. We all got the Sunday Special which came with a meat of choice from one's listed, 2 sides,... and a dessert. Was best bang for your buck, otherwise prices are higher here compared to similar type food restaurants visitedelsewhere. Waitress did well. Place was clean. If you can only order one thing, make it the breaded tenderloin!! We live 8 hours away but get one every time we are there. Big... does not do it justice. You have to experience this to understand.
