Went last night for dinner and ordered the special…Tempura fried NC Trout over Pecan-White cheddar Grits; with brown sugar... braised collards & Caper-Tartar Sauce. It was one of the best meals I think I’ve ever had. Followed up with the strawberrycheesecake. Oh let’s not forget the pomegranate martini!! Remember to leave yourself plenty of time because this is not goingto be a quick in and out and I would make a reservation because it’s always busy. It’s definitely an experience you need tohave! Having read about this new restaurant in Our State magazine, a group of friends from the surrounding area decided to meet there... for lunch. Upon entering, we found the atmosphere extremely pleasant. We were seated at a round table in the window and enjoyedbeing able to visit freely in comfort. Tepid water was brought to our table, and when we asked for ice we were told the icedelivery had not been made. We placed our orders and after an hour asked our waitress if our food was about ready. She went tocheck and returned with some of our plates. Because it took some time for a couple in our party to receive their plates, theyencouraged us to begin eating. We all ordered various meals and were pleasantly surprised with the presentation and flavors. Weall decided to order dessert, but our waitress didn’t seem familiar with the offerings and had to keep going back to thekitchen to inquire about things. It took awhile to receive those orders too, and the desserts were brought to the table beforeit was cleared of the previous dishes. Those in our party who had ordered coffee had to ask for refills. Our waitress didn’tgive her full attention to us, because the staff was setting up and preparing for a large party in the next room. There was onlyone other table being served besides us in the restaurant, and one expects that a place of this caliber and pricing couldprovide better service. We won’t be returning. Read more

First time dining here. Four of us had lunch. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Food was good and there is a good variety of sides... available. Portions were correctly sized to be filling but not overly large. Ambience was nice. Service was a bit slow, butthis is not a fast food place. Definitely a place to sit and enjoy company over tasty food. Read more

Found this little gem of a place online and read the glowing reviews. I was In town for business and love checking out non-chain... establishments. It will sound contrived; but, I seriously never write reviews. From start to finish, The Prescott is a classact. We were greeted immediately and our server (I wish I could recall his name) was amazing and knowledgeable. Do yourself afavor, get the Honeybee Martini (it does not disappoint)! Hope I get the chance to visit again. Wonderful food and service! TopNotch!! Read more

The moment you walk in, the 5 Star experience begins. The service, food and ambiance are a literal feast for your senses. All... tables are preset with white tablecloths, bread plates, rolled cloth napkins that contain a full set of flatware, spotless wineglasses and real flickering oil lights. The ceiling, floor and walls below the chair rail, are very dark which makes a lovelybackdrop for the tables. The artwork reinforces their Farm To Table menu and they also have divine seafood options. We were aparty of 2 and wanted to meet at 4:00, but I still made a reservation. They accept reservations through Open Table and Istrongly recommend making one because they got very busy. You can also add notes about special occasions etc.. and they do readthem because they gave my friend happy birthday wishes. Their training program is top notch. Tony knew everything about themenu, including the ingredients to their signature cocktails, which helped me decide to order the Cucumber-Lime Martini. Theyhave a full bar and my friend ordered a French 75, which was not on the menu. Tony knew right away to ask if she wanted theclassic with gin or with cognac! I forewarned Tony that we would be there awhile and he was very gracious about not rushing theturn of our table. As a side note to diners that sit, talk and make the most of their experience, please tip generously. hadthe bread service, appetizers and then for our dinner, more apps, salads and dessert. Tony timed out the flow of the foodperfectly. He kept checking on us without being intrusive. When I excused myself from the table for a moment, he came over andrefolded my napkin! “Food” isn’t an adequate word for what they serve. “Delicious Art” would be more appropriate.Everything is carefully created and plated with flair. Everything we had was superb, so I’ll just list the items and you canview the pictures. We had the Pamlico Walnut Shrimp, Creamy Truffle Lobster Dip, Lobster Bisque, the Crispy Cauliflow Read more

By far one of the best restaurants me and my husband have eaten at. The chef really knows his stuff and really exceeded our... expectations. We both had the grouper sandwich which was a big piece of fish. My husband had the French onion soup and I had thecorn chowder which both were excellent. We are both from Florida so we know good seafood and to us this was even better. Ourwaitress was amazing (Kaylee) and the service was excellent. We are definitely making this our new go to for lunches and lookforward to going for dinner. Read more

Sometimes when you rely on reviews and ratings in selection of a new dining venue, you have a small trepidation before the... first visit. After reading more than one positive review on "The Prescott" in Kernersville and their Farm to Table theme, theenticement overshadowed the doubt. The new 840 Loop to I-40 West even substantiated that decision with the drive almost allinterstate and the time barely more than the "GSO 15 minutes to anywhere." Upon arrival to the location, our 2 couples wereinitially at ease seeing the unique breezeway between two buildings where the door entrance beckoned the patron to explore whatthe chef discovered from local farmers to be best delectable offerings. Entering to the maitre'd stand, the room and adjacentareas exuded an ambience of quiet elegance and pleasant ambiance. We all smiled at what we hoped was a new discovery. Seated inone of the side areas, we were pleased with the graceful decor along with a pleasant view of the breezeway where outdoor dinerswere immersed in their group enjoying. Our server, Anthony, promptly addressed our libation needs as we queried his background, finding he was originally from New Orleans, was attending classes in study of winemaking and used The Prescott to "pay thebills." Sharing the Walnut Shrimp appetizer at his suggestion was a home run. We all loved it. The home made bread from a localbakery was tasty. Special of the evening was a Sea Bass with rice and vegetables, a hit, perfect temperature and light. From themenu the Grouper was also cooked to perfection with light crust and tender. And the seafood with risotto was savored by ourother attendee. When the tab arrived, a $2.00 charge was added twice to our portion for a salad split and entree split because,at our senior status, we eat less and share a plate. I had asked Anthony to not split the plate because my wife consumes 34%ofthe entree and me almost all the remainder. But he split them anyway and added a fee for the extra plate. Read more
