First time ordering from them and some of the items were good but some i did not. I got a brisket plate with sides. The brisket... was yummy but the collards was bland with no flavor. my wife enjoyed her chicken sandwich but felt the mac and cheese coulda hadmore flavor. also ordered the pulled pork fries with Alabama sauce but they forgot to top it off with sauce which made it hardto eat for us. Wow! What a delicious supper we had! We had the 2 meat and 3 sides! Pulled pork and brisket were so yummy! Love their sweet... potato casserole. Their homemade barbeque was out of sight and we really liked the homemade Honey Butter! We took homeSherry's homemade pound cake! I got a Cook Out Banana Milkshake and poured it over the cake! I bought 2 BBQ sandwiches, one with Cole Slaw & one with Baked Beans also a side order of Potato Salad.. Almost $30.00.. I was... shocked that the BBQ itself was so Dry that we had to add our own bbq sauce as the tiny cup did nothing to aid flavor ormoisture to the dry meat.. The Baked Beans & Slaw we?re good even tho at $7.50 for roughly 1/2 to 3/4 cup size was a highprice.. The Potato Salad on the other hand, was the absolute Worst we have Ever tasted.. It has a vinegar- like terrible tasteand the potatoes themselves were harder than they should be.. Over all it was the worst Food of slighted portions at an unholyprice .. We had to get Subway for a late dinner.. This BBQ was that terrible ? Russell?s BBQ was a costly bad choice for usWasted a lot of Time, Money & Gas but learned Not to eat there again.. The food was great! Loved the sauce options! Meat tender with good flavor. Sweet potato and greens were wonderful! Will be back!

Yep! Gonna need to go out of your way for this one. Food was really great! The staff was friendly and attentive but the owner... was my favorite! Came and sat down next to us and chatted a bit about BBQ and the area. We will definitely come back and bringothers with us. Read more
I really wanted to love this place. There are many great things, but some not so great things. + The atmosphere. Cute, I like... the pigs! + The service. Friendly and professional. + The fresh fried ocra is awesome! Barbecue was nothing special, but good. -The sweet potato casserole was good, but kinda cold. - The chicken was tough and impossible to cut with plastic utensils. -Kinda pricey for the portion size. Met my mother here for lunch today and it was everything we hoped it would be. My only regret is that I don't live closer. The... staff are super friendly and inviting, the atmosphere is wonderful and makes you feel like you're at home, and you get all ofthis experience before you get to taste what is some awesome BBQ.
