I rarely write a review on places. It is not something that comes to mind much, that said. I have been to Jorrge's three times... now. Each time I have been incredibly delighted with the food, as much as the drink. The food is absolutely delicious, fromchips and salsa to the main dishes (especially the chicken so far) and the sides. The environment is quite pleasant & it feelsmuch larger inside than it looks outside. All told I have been more than pleased each time I have been. I would not only return, but would recommend to others to try Jorrge's. Read more

Chips and salsa are good; the salsa is unique. A la carte chorizo taco is good. The entrée that I ordered is the Fajita... Quesadilla. I liked it, it's tasty. The flavors of the veggies and chicken are both indivually noticeable. The tortilla tastesgood. Jorrge is kind and approachable. Regulars are definitely created here - one of them is washing dishes at the bar rightnow actually! The interior creates a nice, cozy atmosphere. Read more

Seemed short stages so waited just a little while. The food was excellent. Steak was cooked perfectly and the burrito was great.... Margaritas are always very good. Read more

Jorrge's Restaurante Cantina has very poor service. I?ve been there several times because I?m from Albuquerque and I love... Mexican food. I also like supporting small businesses. The owner and waitress spend their time catering to their drunkencustomers and neglect the rest of their customers in the restaurant area. This has happened several times, so I just don?t gotheir anymore. The food is OK but not good enough to put up Read more

I'm normally very generous with my reviews and especially of small locally owned businesses. But I really do not have many nice... things to say about this place. The Good: the staff were very nice and the chips were warm. The Bad: all the rest of the foodand the margarita. The arroz con pollo was bone dry and tasted like a boxed rice mix. The queso was extremely runny. The veggiesin the fajitas were barely cooked. The tortillas were dry, hard, and wrapped in paper (as opposed to foil) making me think theywere warmed in a microwave. The margarita tasted like lemon dish soap. The beans weren't cooked through. The Ugly: the salsa. Idon't know what was in it but it did NOT taste good. All in all, we will not be going back. It's one thing for a single dish tonot be great or food to be mediocre from time to time. But this food was just *bad*. Nothing was seasoned or even a littlespicy, besides the chorizo. There are way too many good restaurants in the area to bother giving them a second chance. Read more

Excellent place and it is more New Mexican than many of the restaurants here. Green chili is true green not really a tomatillo... and the red chile transported me back to the Southwest. Lots of great flavor. Refried beans were not creamed but reallyrefried! Definitely heading back often. They are also suffering from the lack of staff but even have neighborhood volunteershelping them out! Read more

Jorrge's Cantina has a great atmosphere, ice cold beer in frosted mugs and excellent, friendly service. Their chips and salsa... is good. The salsa has a unique smoked flavor. Unfortunately, the entrees we ordered had no flavor and were an absolute letdown. Also, the shrimp was like pre cooked and added. No seasoning. Read more
