Such a wonderful find! We found this place by happy accident after traveling all day. The Cuban sandwiches are huge and perfect.... The tamal was homemade and so good that we ordered a second. We made it a point to stop again for lunch before flying home.Ropa vieja was so satisfying with the plantains. Cuban coffee is available and is fantastic. While in Key Largo we wanted to try something different & chose Cuban food. Since we had never had it our waitress suggested... Fernandez Sandwich & beans with yellow rice. It was delicious! The food was amazing and the portions were more than enough. My wife made her own platter of white rice, black beans, and fried... fish. I had the traditional Cuban. We also had chicken mini empanadas. I recommend another sauce if you order the fish. Thecilantro garlic sauce was too strong for it. Read more
