We try to go to some DDD recommended places when we vacation. This one was pretty great overall, the outdoor seating is nice. We... tried a variety of sandwiches as a group and the consensus was that they were good but not the most amazing thing we'vehad. Service was great. There were about 20 nurse sharks in the marina that the restaurant overlooks so that was fun to see.They were probably there because the fishermen that were nearby were tossing some chum in the water. Only outside dinning which would be great if only they didn’t allow smoking. So with the sea breezes you get to enjoy... everyone at the bars smoke. It ruined a otherwise decent meal. The marina and charters coming it was fun. We ate late lunch andit was not overly crowded. The meal was good, but the smoke from the bar ruined the meal. Read more
Awesome place. Came here on a Sunday drive for lunch. Food and staff was amazing. Conch fritters is a must have. Will... definitely be back, hopefully for a dinner next time. The 1 hour drive to get here was definitely worth while. Beautiful view Read more
Came in for a simple dinner and left very pleased from the first time experience. Friendly greeting and seated promptly. Service... was courteous and the food was served fairly quickly. The crunchy grouper sandwich and conch soup were my highlights. Livemusic played, vocals and guitar which gave a great feel to the overall experience. Would recommend. Read more

Went to pilot house for the first time last night with the family. The conch fritters and oysters were great. Service was okay.... We ordered 4 whole fried red snappers and they were all burnt and very dry. Not sure what happened I'm guessing the cook forgotthey were in the fryer. When the brought the plates all four were missing the plantains was not offered a substitute for themissing side till we complained. Honestly should have returned the food once it came to the table but we just didn't want tocause a scene. I am not going to say don't go to this place because it had great live music and nice atmosphere. If I returnhere I'll definitely only order drinks and appetizers and something simple. Great location right. In the Marina. Excellent service but the fish was overcooked. Perhaps it was left over from yesterday's... dinner? Appetizers of Conch fritters and Calamari sticks were very good. Read more
