Very nice place, excellent service, good food. Assured me there actually is good Old World style food to be found, albeit with... difficulty, in NE Texas. That after having badly missed all the variety of excellent food I could get before I moved to TX fromLong island just outside of NYC. I visited this place in July 2022. Food was so delicious, people were so hospitable. I am only giving 2 stars because we spent $67 plus $10 tip. And they served... our food in a paper bowl and gave us plastic silverware. I can get that at home. Food that good deserves to be served on areal plate with real silverware. Then my cousins who came from Dallas to try, asked for water and was handed a bottle of water.Which was fine but it was warm not even chilled. So sad to say, I probably won't return for that price. The food is excellent. I had the cabbage lasagna and it was very good and a perfect portion for lunch with a slice of bread. It... was not busy, and lunch was served in a paper bowl with disposable utensils, I'm sure this makes service easier as they have asmall staff right now. Drove all the way from Shreveport with my fiancé to enjoy this homemade and authentic Hungarian food. Foods so tender it can be... eaten on a paper plate. Owner is the sweetest most enthusiastic person and I can?t say enough good things. Lasagna is the bestI?ve ever had. I spent a lot of time overseas while I was in the military and walking into this place brought back so many good memories. It's... decorated just like the small restaurants you would encounter in Germany or any other European country. The husband was inanother room hand making sausage and his wife was working behind the counter. Very friendly people! You can smell the spiceswhen you walk in the door....Ahhhh!!! I ordered the stuffed cabbage rolls and my wife ordered the stuffed bell pepper. It cameout very quickly. All I can say about the food is....wow. So good! The mashed potatoes were real potatoes, not the instant kindyou get at restaurants from food chains. The cabbage rolls were perfectly cooked and tasted like anything you get in a sidestreet European restaurant. It was the perfect blend of spices. The bread was warm and soft, and slightly sweet. They do serveon paper plates and give plastic utensils....in my food euphoria, I broke my fork....lol. But, it's only the husband and wifeworking there. I think it adds to the ambience of the restaurant!! We will definitely be back!! I give it a solid 5, or higherif I could, stars. Read more
