I love DD, I do, but here's what I don't expect when I visit any DD: (1) a staple that isn't offered. This place offered no... maple donuts (I'm not ordering something off-beat), (2) all the donuts were too wet (I.e. undercooked and overfrosted, and (3)the cashier helping me (older Caucasian female) was obviously racist- she was smiling, bubbly, and patient to the Causcasianfemale in front of me who ordered munchkins for her daughters birthday and couldn't decide what kind and how many. And thenwhen it was my turn and I ordered munchkins, she didn't ask what assortment I wanted, just started tossing the munchkinsaggressively into a box and when I asked if there was an option to choose for my little one (standing right next to me excitedas can be to be getting donuts for breakfast), she angrily dumped everything back into trays and stared at me annoyed as I askedfor the ones I wanted. There was no one at the ordering screen and we waiting in line for 1/2 hour. We got up to the window and wanted to order there.... They were extremely rude and Freddie said they were going to call the cops because we were asking why we couldn?t just quicklyget donuts and coffee here after waiting 1/2 hour and then having to go inside. We went there at 10am on a Wednesday. Ordered a half dozen donuts and one apple fritter. The donuts were very fresh and tasted... great. I would give the apple fritter a zero. I'm rating a five because it's a donut place and not an apple fritter destination. Read more
