My husband and I went here for our anniversary dinner while visiting the outer banks area for the first time. We got there at... about 6:25pm and was greeted by the owner. He was very friendly and told us the wait time was 45 minutes or less. As we enjoyeda drink while we waited we quickly saw how the place worked. If you were a rich local you were able to walk right in and jumpthe line and be seated no matter how many were in your party. We had to wait almost 2 hours for a table when we were told 45minutes or less. All the while we sat there patiently as we watched all the owners ?friends? walk in and be seated. It wasterribly rude and I could hardly believe it was happening at all. They did not accept reservations and even started tellingpeople that were not locals that the wait time was 3 hours. Again, this rule only applied to visitors. The food itself was good.My steak was ordered to be cooked medium and it was well done. I was so hungry I just ate it because I certainly didn?t want towait to have a new one made. Note to any actual visitors? our waiter said Monday-Thursday the restaurant is mostly filled withvisitors and not so many locals. Best to avoid this restaurant on the weekends as you probably won?t get in unless you getthere early, and be prepared to WAIT! Read more

At first sight the ribs did not look good, however the taste profile was surprisingly good. The steaks were cooked good. The... only thing that I personally did not like was the paper used on the table as table cloths. The atmosphere was perfect for datenight with my wife, which made the wait well worth it. Read more

The salmon was amazing! And I loved the key lime pie. My husband had the filet and that was so good too.

JKs was a nice treat, a birthday dinner for 3 was close to $185 before tip.. which tip was 25% .. the server Mark was great, and... I was happy as a immune compromised customer to be in a private booth, 2 apps. 3 dinners and dessert was nice.. I wouldrecommend the Creme Brule " delicious.. it has been since before Covid that I have dined here. Nothing to say bad of ourservice , Mark was checking on us ...and though I know he was busy with other tables he was making sure our teas were full andeverything came out promptly, my petite Filet was good (but cut into it to be sure it's cooked the way you like, for thoughrequested it was to be Medium it was mooing a tad and, I'm sure they would have no problem heating it a bit more) the collardswere delicious as was the mash potatoes.. I say only one thing and that is be prepared to pay quite a bit for your entrée, for they each were between $30 and $40 each .. the qual appetizer wasn't as good as years ago, but the Oyster Rockefeller wasenjoyable.. it averaged $65 for each.. so know it is a treat, for not many can afford that price.. it seems before Covid priceswere a bit less.. but all in all it was a good meal, and I'm hoping to hit the burger nite, which I used to get frequently yearsago, and is still offered..and it won't break your bank.. service excellent, food good but dining here would be more a regularoccurrence if a bit more affordable. I definitely recommend coming in and having a great meal and definitely there was a niceambiance.. thank you Mark for making our dinner a great experience. I hope to return soon.. Read more
