1Luv has the MOST AUTHENTIC JAMAICAN FOOD on this side of Texas! I came one time for the steamed red snapper and been going back... for it EVERYDAY since and I bring other US Army soldiers with me EVERYTHING is good the brown stew snapper, steamed snapper,escovich snapper, curry shrimp and the curry shrimp are NOT small baby shrimp like those other restaurants serve my battles LOVEthe jerk chicken, oxtails, brown stew chicken and the curry chicken! If you are looking for GREAT food and AMAZING customerservice 1Luv is the place! Ozzy is amazing, the lady in the front is so pleasant and so are the other staff members! I HAVE tostart my mornings with ackee & salt fish the only thing missing from the menu is porridge. I?m gonna miss being stationed atfort hood when I leave, you guys are the BEST! Read more

Sorry to break it to you all, but, 1Luv Island Restaurant is the best Jamaican restaurant in Killeen. The food is always fresh.... Great Quality! Man, I just crushed my oxtails and rice and peas. I wish I can go back in time (20mins max) so I can have thatplate all over again. LOL. Read more

Food was pretty good. We got the oxtail plate. The vibe inside was kind of weird. We walked in and the older black lady was all... laughing and joking with another customer. When it was our turn to order, it felt like we were bothering her, we got the blankdeath stare. A decent spot and very tasty food and the owner or staff were great people. The only reason I give it a 4 star was due to the... cost which on the sign it said one thing but when it came time to pay it seems the patron just added some arbitrary numberswhich even when I calculated it made no sense but I paid and made no scene. Let's see 2 small or was it medium carry out boxescombination oxtail and brown stew chicken and two drinks $43.... oh and I add a $5 tip so $48. Lesson for today ask for an itemized receipt before hand and ask to clearly explain odd prices. So do I recommend this spot, most certainly recommendchecking it out as their food was good but make sure you to ask them to explain the combination plates and or anything else.Enjoy. Read more
