Crispy, lemony, puffy and soft... Delicious food and nostalgic. I don't remember the last time I've had long John silvers,... probably over a decade ago but decided to stop by for old times sake. Wasn't sure about dinning in but im glad I did. Going upto the register the cashier was quick to greet us and assured any question, politely waiting for our choices. Once we order wesat down and didn't wait long for the food to be done. Both me and my husband can't hear well so the cashier had to come to ourtable about 2 times but she didn't seem annoyed but actually extremely polite. Letting us know an order was going to be out orsomething was missing from our order. The food was delicious, the chicken being crunchy on the outside with a soft texture onthe inside, even the fish had a lemony juicy taste once biting into it. Don't get me started on the hush puppies which thecashier reccomended, simplify amazing, a crispy puffy ball with soft smooth texture and it wasn't dry at all. The only con ofthe food I can think of is that the fries didn't hold light to the rest but with how everything else was I let it slide. Theinside of the restraunt is a bit dull but honestly that's how I always remembered it. Thank you for the workers who wereobviously working hard and being as polite and friendly as you were! So the food at all long johns is gonna be the same, but let me tell you the service here is fantastic, very polite, funny and... attentive. What fast food joint has a guy come out and check on you to refill your drinks at a self serve soda machine? THISPLACE!!! Read more

This place is nostalgic to me. I have great memories from my youth eating inside Long John's with my grandparents. It was my... grandmothers favorite spot for fish and chips. As I sit in this location seeing nothing has really changed since then it took meback to a time where my life was simple and mostly enjoyable. Reminiscing about the little adventures I had taking the city busand walking all over Austin just to end up in Long John's at the end of the day to eat and relax. To be honest these guysactually cooked the food very well. I wasn't expecting much knowing this chain is kind of a dinosaur but surprisingly the mealwas hot, fresh and crispy! I really hope they keep this up because we will be back for more. Read more
This is the best fish place in this area that I know of for fast food. We usually always get the fish and shrimp platter which... also has hush puppies with french fries and coleslaw. But the fish shrimp platter comes with two sides of your choice along withhush puppies. We go through the drive-thru and it's always usually pretty fast, the orders are always correct, You can get thesauces that you want as long as you ask for them, and they are really friendly.
