I hate to leave negative reviews, but my experience at this establishment has been anything but positive. A few weeks ago my... family and I wanted to try this place out. I called in to ask about some menu items, upon receiving my answers the employeeasked my ig I wanted to place an order. I said I would discuss with my family and call back if I decided to get breakfast fromthis establishment. I called back 10 minutes later three times and no one answers the phone. So I assumed they had got a littlebusy, and made a 10 minute drive to the restaurant. The line was wrapped around the gas station, I sat in it for about 10minutes and decided that I wouldn?t have enough time to get breakfast back to my husband before he needs to leave for work. Sothen two weeks later I decided to make the drive over again and wait in the line early enough to make sure I?d get breakfastback in time. I call three times in advance to try to place my order ahead of time; the first one rings for a minute, I call 15minutes later and the second rings for twice before being declined, and the third I make as I?m driving goes straight to endcall. I drove over, and I wait 35 minutes. I finally get to the window and order. They don?t have country fried steak (as theydidn?t the first time I ever called in), so I opt for wings and a waffle and they tell me it?ll be an up charge? even though themenu has a price for two wings and a waffle. AFTER I order, the employee looks out the window to direct me to pull forward andsays ?it?ll be a 25-30 minute wait?. I asked for what part of my order (because if it?s the chicken, I?ll order something else).They say ?all of it, we?re backed up.? Which I find curious because they?re only taking one order at a time via window, and thelobby/walk-in ordering isn?t available, and they aren?t answering their phones. Such an AMAZING place!! The food is great the owner is great and I definitely recommend going. They also sell their waffle... batter so you can take some of that love home with you in your own kitchen. Read more
I called to order food and I kept getting the voicemail and getting forwarded to voicemail. My son really loves waffles and... sadly he won?t get to try because they were closed. I just wish that the professionalism was better and the hours of operationwas valid according to google. Please do better. Read more
ATTENTION ALL: If you have NOT been to waffle den yet then you my friend are SLEEPING on the BEST CHICKEN & WAFFLES TO EXIST IN... THE STATES! And that?s on EVERYTHING! At least 40 different waffle flavors and you can customize to your liking!!! (Suggest:Banana Nut, Rum Spice, Red Velvet) all the flavors are bomb!!!! Facts no printer ???????? Seriously, a wonderful God-fearing,loving BLACK OWNED business. Customer service is exceptional and the food is admirable! Don?t believe me then go see & taste foryourself. Love the food..... tried the strawberry and Banana waffles. The waffles were good and tasty enough to eat without syrup. Try... them out you won't be disappointed. But to me the main attraction is the fried chicken don't know what the recipe is for theirfried chicken but you just can't get enough. Hands down the best waffle spot in Killeen. I eat here almost every weekend. Never had a bad experience. Arrive early because... the line can get extremely long on the weekend; however, the food is worth the wait. Read more
First time customer today. Dine-in isn't currently being offered so we went through the drive through. Unassuming location... attached to a gas station. Employees were polite and it didn't take long to get through the line of cars. Our food came out hotand tasted great. Chicken was well seasoned and had a good crunch to it. I was told this place was THE place for waffles. Man was I disappointed.I?ll start off with the menu. The lobby is closed so... you gotta go through the drive through. The drive through menu prices are completely wrong, like you?re paying double the pricefrom what?s listen on their ?combo? deals. When I asked about it I was told they were trying to get it changed ?since covid.?It?s been a year, how hard is it to put some clear tape with a piece of blank paper under it to block out the old prices? Ididn?t find this out until after I paid, still I was hoping the food was worth the hype so I just said ?okay, all good.? Becauseat the time I truly hoped it was all good. Now to wait. I knew it was going to be a wait, but I got 2 waffles and 4 pieces ofchicken, came out to 25 and some change (!!). I waited over 30 minutes for my food. At this point I?m stilll hoping it?s worththe hype. I get my food and I will say, the waffle was good, (the original waffle, the specialty waffle was tough.), but it wasthinner than I expected and looked like it had some thin spots, but the chicken was tender. It was good in the same way the foodyou cook at home is good. but what you pay vs. what you get, made it all so disappointing. When I go out I want to eat betterfood. I?m writing this review still hungry. I paid 25 for 2 people, so about 12.50 a plate. I expect to be fed at 12.50 a plate,but not today. I?ve gotten more bang for your buck, faster food, and more filling plates at a food truck, or another breakfastplace in town (although that place is Mexican food so not comparable to a waffle place.)
