I hope they've hired new staff. I live 5 minutes from the Subway on Main Street in Kilmarnock, VA. Three times this year I've... gone there a few minutes before 8pm and a little after 8pm. The door is unlocked, open sign on, customer being served, twoemployees working, just as I opened the door I was told by one of the employees , "We closed." I replied, "With your doorsunlocked and a customer still be serviced?" That same employee replied, "He was just leaving." As she walked over to lock thedoor. The other employee said nothing. She just stood at the register with hands on hips. No explanation as to the reason wasprovided I walked to my car, sat down and watched. Another customer drove up and walked to the locked door and pulled thehandle. All the while the "Open" sign was still on. Customer walked back to his vehicle just as the customer inside the storewas heading out of the door. Employee walked to the back and next the store sign went out. That's one incident. I visited thestore around 8pm on another evening. The same employee from the previous visit met me at the door. She told me the store wasclosing because they were out of bread. I could see the bread rack from the door. There were rows and rows of cooked bread onthe trays. She closed the door and locked it. This happened again another time I visited. I tried going earlier around 7:30.Store "Open" sign turned off. Two employees inside slights dimmed. Doors locked. Neither moved from behind the counter. I toldmy daughter about the second incident. She said the young girls do that all the time. And that they pick and choose who theywill serve. My daughter went on to say that they let my 23 year old son in everytime he goes there even if it's at or afterclosing time. Smh ????. This is how it is when you leave some young people working without supervision. I haven't frequentedthat place since July. Read more
"Closing 2 hours early due to a staffing shortage",... I understand things come up all the time, but how about letting your... customers finish their meals before you close your doors. Its funny too that i have actually defended this place when friendsand co-workers complain of the service and quality of their food preperation techniques. I imagine they won't be open muchlonger with attitudes like that. Read more
The food itself was good, we had a male sandwich artist to start with who seemed to enjoy interacting with us. Second artist was... female, she acted like she had better things to do than her job. So, good job to him! Read more
The bathroom was very dirty... the toilet was filthy and so was the sink. There were 2 dead crickets in the floor and one live... bug crawling on the floor. It really grossed me out. The food was fine and the employees were friendly. Read more
Don't want to screw up their rating but this has got to be the slowest subway I've ever been too. The girls working there just... take there sweet time. Show a little enthusiasm and motivation. Read more
