Wow! This place was amazing. It is hidden back in the Kiln and has a fish camp vibe. It is the perfect combo of laid back with... great food. We tried the chargrilled oysters, blackened (amazing), sautéed crab fingers, and fried fish and shrimp, shrimp andgrits, and crab Landon. It was all super well done and tasty. From traditional southern fried to more upscale seafood, it wasall excellent. I highly recommend it!!! Read more
Great food at a decent price. We ordered the oyster Rockefeller oysters and they were wonderful. Next we ordered the swamp... bisque and eggplant fries, blackened chicken salad (which was huge), and froglegs. All had a good flavor and the portions werenice size for the price. Went for In Laws anniversary. The food was excellent. I had 2 lbs boiled Royal Red shrimp, with crab stuffed mushrooms as an... appetizer. Wife had crabcakes with jalapeño hushpuppies. Everything was great. Best seafood restaurant I have ever tried. Read more
Even if you don't have time to stop at Dempsey's in Mississippi do it anyway and at the very least get the cheese sticks. They... will change your life. Everything was delicious! I even got to meet the owner Diane Dempsey she was the absolute sweetest woman.Ask for Erica she gave us the very best service. There is something to be said for the soft shell crab, it was awesome! The wife and I went for lunch on a Sunday. You need to call in a reservation ahead of time nowadays because the place is so good... and very popular. We're repeat customers and everything's always perfect. Fried Green Tomatoes appetizer is the best FGT youcan find. We got the seafood platter for two this time. We seriously came home with enough leftovers to eat two more times. Forless than a $100 bill, you really can't beat the value and quality. I loved the presentation of the food. It was done beautifully. We had the fried green tomatoes and as a true southern Belle I... belive no creamy sauce was needed . I also had the catfish platter. The fish was excellent! I recommend the fries not the potatosalad nor the slaw. But each to their own. Service was wonderful. We didn't know you had to make a reservation and they stillfound a nice seat for our family of 3. We thank them and praise for their wonderful customer service. ???? Wow! A gem hidden in a unique setting. Quick, fantastic service for our party of 8. It was our first time here but will not... be our last. The atmosphere and ambience are relaxing, comforting. The menu is well diversified, from seafood through steaks,and burgers to pork chops. Definitely something for everyone. My choice was the pork chop. A very nice cut, cooked to order,my choice was medium rare with a side of eggplant fries. First, the fries were delicious. Perfect frying with a tasty batter onthem and covered in a heaping portion of Parmesan cheese. These were great by themselves. No need for ketchup, lol. The chopwas perfectly cooked and accompanied with a side of sauce that was sweet, yet spicy. Kind of a mild, sweet heat. It was tenderand delicious! I highly recommend Dempsey?s and, if seafood and beef are just not what you?re looking for on an occasion, Iguess by now you know I strongly suggest the Pork Chop and Eggplant Fries!
