I have yet to eat here, but I definitely want to. Our local Eaa 479 holds our monthly meeting in the multi purpose room adjacent... to the restaurant. It is a spectacular view and I anticipate as much from the food. Read more

Fantastic food can be found at this airport cafe. A large number of military and civilian aircraft pilots, and travelers, stop... in here to get a hardy and delicious meal. They serve a great breakfast; and serve a fantastic lunch type food until 6:00pm inthe evening. The catfish, shrimp and "po' boys" are incredible. They even have grilled selections if you prefer. The cafe facesthe airfield with large windows for viewing the planes taking off and landing. The dining area is very clean and utilitarian -not fancy. I flew in and was around Stennis 1/2 week. Great views of the airport. Transient aircraft get a meal voucher which gets a meal... and drink for only $1. Busy with military planes and helicopters during the week. If I lived closer and even wasn?t intoairplanes, I?d drive over just to eat here as if it was a standalone restaurant. Catfish Basket: Perfectly fried and flaky fishwith a crispy crust that?s not too overly battered or fishy tasting or smelling. Mac & cheese is definitely cheesy whichprobably accounts for the extra grease below it. Burger: Large and flavorful patty. Made to my liking with grilled onions,pickles, Swiss (cheddar another day) and bacon. Crispy bacon and ?meaty.? Mac & cheese and fries another day. Make sure to get?Tony?s Cajun? seasoning for fries.
