Amazing place ???? the staff is the friendliest you will ever find. The cabins are so quaint and homey. It's the perfect place... to spend a vacation because it's close to many beaches and local activities! I've been here twice now and plan on coming back afew times each summer ???????? Read more
Stopped for lunch during our kayak ride. Had the chicken club and fries. Big portion and really good. Fries are like fish and... chip fries - yummy. Hubby had chicken caesar wrap and fries and enjoyed it too. Server was very friendly and attentive. Woulddefinitely come back. Read more
This place is off the beaten path , that's for sure. But the view of the lake is great we got poutine and snake bites. The... service was quick food was ok. They don't use cheese curds in their poutine and their gravy is not beef gravy tasted okthough. Their snake bites are spicy chicken nuggets basically with a spicy mayo dip.. it's ok I guess... Awesome restaurant overlooking Sparrow Lake with a clear view of the launch and docks at Franklin Park. A local favourite for... years, the new owners have kept the original menu and cooking/bar tending staff the same. They have also begun upgrading theinterior to modernize and it looks great. Burgers are delicious,the fish is awesome (and big portions), and I highly recommendthe meat lovers Calzone with a Belgian Moon and orange slice. The restaurant does get very busy with boaters/cottagers over thesummer so call ahead for reservations! Definitely my neighborhood favorite! Read more
It's a really nice location by the lake. Pretty drive to get there too. So it had all that going for it. As for the food it... was okay. My burger was pretty average for this area. Staff was great and dropped by twice to check on me. Read more
Been here on many occasions. Really tasty fish and chips as well as ample options for those who don't like that. Its also nice... to be able to jump into the channel and afterwards sit and have a drink at their patio. Only complaint would be that on summerweekends it can get busy - 4 stars. Read more
Silver Pines is a nice Rv Park at first glance. The Park is on the water at Sparrow Lake, fun to go fishing, lots of water... sports, or just sitting reading a good book by the water. The neighbour's seem to be friendly, engaging, happy staying in thepark. There are only a couple of open spaces left for this year. Like I mentioned the Park seems to be kept in good order atfirst glance, the grounds are well groomed and the roadways in the Park are well maintained. That said and done .... there is arestaurant/coffee shop on site which looks like it has seen better days and has not opened this year, not even for take out.There are also a number of dead trees on the property that are just waiting for a windstorm to take out your trailer! As amatter of fact it did just that this past weekend. A tree fell and landed on a Seasonal Campers trailer! The damage was limitedand no one was hurt (this time) but why wait till someone is!? Don't know what the current owner is waiting for to take thenumerous dead trees down. Read more
