This review is for their too good to go program only. Now if they make your order like this (at normal price) I would be irate.... Nonetheless here was my experience: Normally when picking up a too good to waste order, there are container(s) already ready togo. I arrived exactly at 21:30 on the dot, and informed the employee that I was here for the pick up. To my surprise she grabs abowl and starts assembling. Rice, beans?and then I had to stop her and ask if that was my product because I don?t eat beans.Long story short they choose what they want to be in there. You don?t get a choice of meat, they just throw what they want inthere. You don?t get chips either. Not worth the $3.99. Other restaurants give you a lot more. The person assembling my foodwasn?t welcoming and carried on a conversation with the other employee and was not paying attention to me when I said no beef.Then she had an attitude and had to start over. First time at District Taco. It took an extra few seconds to go over the menu to decide what we wanted and then figure out that... you had to order on the touch screens, but other than that it was easy to order and pay at the touch screens. Getting our orderwas pretty quick and the food was good. I wish they would have had some ice teas selections available for drinks. Oneunsweetened tea at least. Read more
I'm very curious how this place has above average reviews. If you like Mexican cuisine, don't bother with District Taco. I have... it a two because they placed our order correctly, and that was all that was done right. We had several tacos and quac.Regardless what the taco was, chicken, steak, fish, we tried several, they were all terrible. My wife and I both asked "How doyou ruin tacos like this?" The flavor of everything from the meats, sauces and even the corn tortilla were off putting and justwrong. I almost wanted to say bland at first, but bland would actually be sugar coating it. It was bad, somehow surprisinglybad. We ordered six tacos and ate a combined total of 2 tacos - eating half a taco and moving onto the next hoping it would bebetter... It didn't. We threw away 4 tacos. Just threw them away, along with our money, because the tacos were trash. The guacwas more bland than bad like the tacos, but again, shockingly underwhelming. I went to my kitchen to take a few bites ofdifferent foods to make sure my taste buds were broken, but everything was normal, and there was only District Taco and their"food" to blame. Chips were OK. Nothing special, but nothing wrong. The chips and average to below average salsa was somehowthe highlight of our garbage meal. I won't be going back and recommend anyone who loves Mexican food for it's flavor, or anyreal flavor at all, please spend your money elsewhere. Went here for the first and last time for dinner tonight. Service was terrible, staff was very unwilling to help. My mom and I... went and ordered on the self checkout (since that is the only way you can order) and we made sure to select chicken in ourbowls. For reference, adding chicken in your bowl is $1.10. We paid $25 with tax for two bowls. When we sat down we realized ourchicken was missing from the bowls so my mom went in first and asked for them to add the chicken on. They insisted we did notpay for the chicken and if we wanted chicken we would have to order a new bowl. I went in after my mom to talk with them aboutthis very calmly and checked the self checkout screen to make sure we didn?t forget the chicken (our receipt was not provided tous and they said they didn?t have it when I asked). On the self checkout screen for meat one of the first options is chicken?ifyou don?t want meat as in ?no meat? you have to scroll all the way to the right of the screen on the very last page, which wedid not do. I asked the woman behind the counter about how you would have to select no meat on your order and showed her thescreen and told her we ordered the chicken and she then tried to get me to pay for a cup of chicken by buying chips. I refused,and she finally scooped me up a cup of chicken in a small container made for chip dip and handed it to me to split between mymom and I. A small chip cup of chicken to split between 2 large bowls that paid for chicken?absolutely ridiculous, andhorrendous customer service. 1st time here. I was looking forward to some good quac like they have at Cali tort but was disappointed. I will say that my... husband liked his meal which was a steak bowl and would have no problem coming back. He agrees that he would never order thequac. My meal was a steak quesadilla. It was flavorful but I had the nub from a avocado in it. It was hard andshocking. Let's talk about the salsa for a minute. A v8 is thicker than this salsa. It's like they put a tomato thru a juicerand minced some cilantro in it. This place is pricey. Our meal was $41. I wouldn't come back but my husband said that hewould. Read more
So glad our area has a Distric Taco location!! This location has touch screen ordering. The corn tortillas are the best I've... ever had, super fluffy and chewy. There is a great topping selection, and the value is great. There are vegetarian and glutenfriendly options! Highly recommend checking it out!! Read more
Crazy delicious, for a chain. The corn tortillas are flavorful and nicely charred, rice is well seasoned, and the carne asada in... particular is phenomenal. Would be five stars, but they missed part of our order the first time we went (didn't realize it untilwe were well away, sadly) and on a subsequent visit I got flour tortillas which I found to be very bland and raw tasting. The staff was really unwelcoming & rude upon arrival. No one greeted me as a paying customer, they assume that everyone wants to... use their kiosk. They made zero effort to accommodate a paying customer on special food request, I would hate to see how itwould be handled if a customer had an allergy. The staff who completed my order didn?t ring my order up correctly, instead ofhandling it as a manager in a respectful way the manager talked very disrespectful with no regard. This is not the first timeI?ve experienced this type of behavior but after this I won?t be returning. It is very clear to me as to why there seems to beno advancement with managements attitude & a high turn over rate with employees. It starts with the management !
