Highway 55 used to be a pillar of nostalgia that fans of yore could go to for a blast to the past. My wife and I would giggle... and titter when we ordered some classic shakes and burgers. But alas, lately, their most famous and luscious chili cheese totstook a very much unnecessary hit. I used to regale in my enjoyment of having copious amounts of both chili and cheese gettingcaught in my mustache, my belly being most satiated. But now, the quality has lacked, my disappointment has peaked, and I nolonger yearn for that dearly old timey taste. Read more
We ordered online a couple of days ago. Paid for onion ring upgrades on the combos. Picked up the order & got home to find no... onion rings, just cold fries & a chicken Philly cheesesteak with the meat not even broken up. Just cooked in whole slices thatsmelled off or old. The kids ?grilled cheese? was on 2 burger buns turned inside out. Everything was gross. Total waste of $50.When I called about the situation, the kid who answered said ?I don?t know anything cuz I didn?t pack your order but I know weran out of onion rings a few minutes ago?. No offer to refund the difference in pricing, no apologies or heads up that our orderwas wrong when I picked it up?. Nothing. Hot fudge sundae had cold fudge and not enough. Waitress forgot part of order. Requested senior discount but waitress forgot and... had to rework bill. The place is lovely, bright and clean. Not busy or crowded when we visited. Probably will not go back. Read more
Staff was great and the food was amazing. The guy who makes the food needs a $500 an hour raise. That Philly cheese steak on... point like a bald point pen!!! That shake was terrific.Highly recommend this place Read more
The prices are decent, you get a burger, fries, and drink for around $10. The burger had a hard onion aftertaste though. Not a... big fan of that but there are some who enjoy it. Read more
We were passing thru town and wanted to try this 50?s looking diner. The decor was really neat looking with photos on the wall... of Elvis, etc. The 3 of us each got the American burger, 1 regular and 2 li?l size. I was a little surprised with how small theLi?l burger was. It was good but not what I expected. The French fries however were delicious. Hot and cooked to perfection.Milkshakes were great as well. The burgers were tasty though the food as a whole was lacking. Our salads were made with old lettuce. The atmosphere of a diner,... but serving Pepsi products? The place was mostly empty. Just felt like another chain restaurant trying to act like a diner butfeeling overall fake. Read more
