This was the work experience that I have. My waitress Pamela was awful. The hostess had to chance her down on my occasion to... serve me. My server had a very bad attitude. The hostess took care of me and not my waitress. It will be a long time before I gothere again. Chili's is way better than Applebee's in a long run. Read more
Worst Applebees I?ve ever been to in my life. Have gave it a try 3 times and it?s always horrible. Had the most rude, absurd,... LOUD AF, and just plain disrespectful waitress ever. There were more servers who appeared to be messing with some sort of tvstanding on top of tables right bedside us? Kind of gross if you ask me? also noticed that tables who walked in 10-15 minutesafter us were getting their food first? Ok no big deal but then noticed they had ordered pretty much the same thing as us. Weirdfor them to receive their food before we even had gotten our appetizer ? I asked for a water and either they haven?t cleaned thenozzle or got it from the dam bathroom sink??? Tasted awful. Whatever I asked for something else. But of course the server wasgoing on and on with her snarky little comments thinking it was funny?? I or my partner didn?t wanna say anything or be rude butshe sure didn?t care about being rude or her job it seemed like. I like Applebees but this one is just awful every single time.Must be the staff. Who knows. All I know is I will make the extra 15 minute drive to jc or Bristol or ANYWHERE else besides thisone! while we were trying to eat our food and talk to each other a waitress taking care of the section behind us decided to vacuum... the area we were seated in because she was leaving. i dont care if you are leaving NOONE needs to try and eat and talk over avacuum. they were not happy when i explained to them that we couldnt hear each other speak and asked them to wait until we werefinished. i suggested that they stop seating that area if they need to get it cleaned. she rolled her eyes. the food was notgood. our waitress was awesome no complaints with her. other guests were also upset that they were vacuuming our area. we hadnteaten at applebees in a long time we dont have one near where we live so we were excited to see one close to where we werestaying. horrible experience!!!!! never again. i would not suggest going to this location. poor customer service. My husband and I went for dinner around 4:45. There were just a few tables there since we were before the dinner rush. The... waitress did not seem interested in us at all, but brought us our drinks and kept rushing us to order our entrees. We had neverbeen to an apple bees before so we needed time to look over the menu. We ordered the Beer Cheese Waffle Fries (Which was thebest part of this dining experience). When the entrees came, the first few bites made me horribly sick. I rushed to the bathroom while trying not to vomit in the dining area. I had ordered the chicken tender macaroni and it was just disgusting. While I wasin the restroom vomiting, my husband told the waitress that we needed the check because my food had made me sick. The waitressthen asked if I was sick because I had social anxiety since my husband had ordered my drink for me. It just so happened that thefranchise owner of this Applebees was there; he introduced himself to my husband and asked about the situation. I wish he hadoffered to take my entree off the ticket because I had two bites and we left the rest there since it had made me ill. This willbe the first and last time we will be eating at Applebees in Kingsport after this experience. I usually will try again after abad experience just to see if it was just an off night, however I just cannot for this area. We may try again somewhere FARaway. I have never written a bad review like this at a restaurant, but I do not want other people having the same incident thatwe had. Read more

The wait was great the service was fairly good they came up we ordered our drinks 6 minutes later they came back we ordered our... food they brought an appetizer and then they brought us our food and then they brought us our drinks kind of backwards servicewas good other than that we had to wait 12 minutes on some french fries for my grandson the manager did come out and greet usand ask us how everything was going overall it was a good meal just backwards my drink should have came out my appetizers shouldhave came out our food should all came out at the same time and that didn't happen but I still recommend eating here Read more
The food looked like it had been under a heat lamp for a long period of time. Our waitresses was very friendly and knowledgeable... about the menu questions we had. The commercial on tv of the skillets is nothing like what they bring to your table. We were alittle disappointed with that. Read more
