Very good bbq, though will say I prefer GATES BBQ sauce over here probably just for nostalgic reasons (originally from KC MO).... ???? In any case very very good and will be back. Folks were friendly. Read more

Amazing food! We stopped on a road trip and are so glad we did. The pulled chicken, pulled beef, and brisket we ordered were... delicious. Their BBQ sauce was a perfect complement to the meats. Friendly staff, too! Read more

Great local BBQ! We had the pulled pork and tried a total of three different sides. The taste of the pulled pork was excellent... and it was very tender. It was very finely chopped which was unexpected, but certainly made it easy to chew. The coleslaw wasgood, but pretty typical. The hash brown casserole was amazing and the best of the sides that we tried. The potato salad waskind of bland and not to my liking. I also had the banana pudding, which was very light and fluffy, with the requisite vanillawafers and banana chunks. It was worth the calories. We will definitely make the drive over again sometime to check out theother items on the menu. The staff we very friendly and the food came out right away. Read more

I was in town for business and found this small BBQ restaurant. Very glad I gave it a try. There were two of us and both... sandwiches were great. The sides were also fresh and tasty. I will come back when I am in town. Read more

Really good pulled pork. Not a single bite was dry or tough. Not too smoky, but could stand a little more spice in the bark.... Sweet, Hot, and vinegar sauces were all very good. Their sweet tea is exactly right. Absolutely worth stopping by, wouldrecommend these folks to anyone else tired of mediocre East Tennessee barbecue restaurants. I'm trying to find an excuse to goback this way so I can try out more of their menu. Read more

We had the distinct pleasure to eat at this delicious BBQ last night. We are visiting from Utah and our son in law insisted... thus was the only place to go! We even ate pizza our first night because, note to travelers, they are closed Sunday and Monday. It was worth the wait!! First of all the building itself is very vintage and welcoming. Of course with kids we needed to firststop at the restroom. Even though we arrived there one hour before close the bathroom looked freshly cleaned! The staff aresoooooo friendly, helpful, and accommodating. You can order catering style (by quantity or number of persons)or at tableside. Ifyou are ordering catering style, they prefer it as take-out. Brian is Phil's nephew who helped us, and he couldn't have beenmore accommodating to our large group. We ordered catering style. I have never tasted anything like this BBQ, so delicious!! Wedid the brisket, pulled pork, and ribs, sauced and dry rub, along with coleslaw, potato salad beans, and Mac and cheese (orderlarge!) The Mac and cheese was devoured. The sauces are to die for, really! Makes my mouth water even now.???? If you areanywhere near here, it's worth the drive!! Read more

5 stars isn't enough. The brisket was described to me as the best in the tri-state and it definitely lived up to the... recommendation. The dry rubbed ribs were awesome and so were all the sides. There was no bone or any fat on either meat. Can'twait to come back again! Read more

Stopped here for lunch while traveling cross country from Texas to Virginia and this place was everything it was said to be. The... food was delicious and the staff was friendly. We loved the smokin hot BBQ sauce so much we ordered two pints to go. My husbandordered the pig wing which was interesting and quite good. The ribs and pulled pork were also very good. The baked beans werefantastic too. I wasn't a fan of the Mac & cheese. It was just average. Opt for the potato salad instead. Read more
