If you follow The Kind Diet and consider yourself vegan, you will find few options here. The one vegan b’fast sandwich was... sold out by 12:30pm, the time of my arrival on a Sunday. Fair enough. But the counter person didn’t even know if the saladswere vegan (nope). There are zero options for swaps on the menu. So I opted for a semolina role and oat milk latte, both weredelicious. I would have gladly spent more than 8 bucks, if this establishment were vegan-friendly. Vote with your dollars, myfellow vegans, and shop elsewhere! Read more
THE BEST!!! Sandwich, Salad, coffee, bread and Pastries were unbelievable! What a beautiful space and good was on spot. Lots of... people there and wait not long at all. Great area also to just get it to go and have a picnic right down the street. Love andcan’t wait to go back. Read more

Make sure next time your in Rondout, you do not miss this gem. This General Store is just what the strip needed. Its like a... slice of N.Y.C., in the heart of the area. All items ordered at the counter are fresh and from local farmers. You can watch asthey prepare your dish. Price is on target. Ample seating, both table and counter. The decor has a comfortable flair to it.Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. To top it off, they have a interesting grocery section....too much to listhowever for the likes if everyone. Love everything about this place. Came here after reading about them in Hudson Valley One newspaper and wasn’t disappointed.... Prices might be steep for some locals and the popularity is taxing the small kitchen but take a seat and enjoy the vibe. Ihighly recommend they add more vegetarian options, at least the choice to have the egg sandwich without bacon if possible!! Thatwould seal the deal. New favorite spot in Rondout. Read more

This family run company exceeded our expectations for a small town bakery. Quality quality quality sums up this establishment.... They bake all their breads and confections. If I had a favorite it would be the pistachio cookies - divine. The sandwiches weredelicious and coffee made us feel at home. this place is family owned and very considered. every menu item is delicious. they put so much love into what they do from the... pantry items to the fresh produce that Anthony grows. not sure how anyone could give this place less than 5 stars, definitely afavorite in Kingston. Read more
