What happened to Kame? Got take out last night. We remember Kame as a japanese restaurant whose food was really good and... presented well.. Special rolls were crammed in together in a very small container so much so that the rolls lost their shapeand fell apart. Freshness was just not there, tasted off. Bulgogi was very greasey. We ordered alot of food, very pricey, wereceived one napkin and 1 chopstick and 1 spoon. Sign of the times I guess ..... time to look for another place. This wasn?t my first visit but first time doing take-out. I have enjoyed my food in previous visits when I?ve dined-in but... unfortunately this meal fell flat. The dishes were very fishy, yes they are fish-based dishes, duh! But I eat sushi regularlyand have an expected level of how fishy it will be, this meal definitely exceeded that. I have had their poke before and reallyenjoyed it and did not feel this way about it the last time. The udon noodles were also pretty lacklustre. Read more
We had the assorted sashimi rice bowl (#47) and the miso ramen. There was a good assortment of sashimi in the rice bowl and it... tasted fresh. Initially I was concerned the ramen would be soggy by the time we got the food home. I was pleasantly surprised bythe excellent food packaging that kept the noodles separate from the soup until you?re ready to eat. Clearly this is arestaurant that takes pride in their food and cares about the customer experience. Read more
Amazing sushi. Fresh ingredients and man the rolls are BIG!. Lots of great flavours. This place is just one of the best sushi... restaurants I've been to in Ontario, and I've been to a few. Buy it! Eat it! Love it! Read more
Best place in town for poke bowl!! Amazing, yummy unique!! We got the salmon poke bowl...so delicious ???????? next time we will... definitely order the tuna one. Very friendly staff, cozy location.. On our way through the Kingston supercharger we had the pleasant surprise to find this small Izakaya and are very glad we did.... Service was very friendly and efficient. The ramen was delicious, and the spicy variants had just the right amount of heat. Thenoodles had a nice bite to them. We did not notice their new black garlic ramen until after we ordered, but will try it out nexttime. Takoyaki were flavorful and creamy once bitten into. Sushi was good, but we were here for the tonkotsu ! Will definitelyreturn. Read more
We ordered Ramen, and sushi(Nigiri) bento and paid $60 the ramen was okay, the bento wasn?t that great and the portions are... small, very overpriced overall, unfortunately won?t be coming back. :/ Read more
