Place is nicely renovated and service was decent. However, food is the only thing you actually do there and it was adequate at... best. Dry, unexciting and zero presentation... really disappointing. They should understand that we are going out to treatourselves and what $20-$25 each got us, was what I would consider equal to leftovers from my fridge that I heated in themicrowave. It was the day after our wedding and we were just looking to wind down and enjoy a late lunch together. Oh well...ourmistake. Read more

Decided to do dinner with my 3 children before school starts they wanted to do the patio so decided on that. The hostess was... super friendly and professional, pretty much immediately accommodated our patio request and we were seated. Our server wasinitially very friendly and got our drinks to us fairly quickly as well as our appie we ordered. The half nacho was great, lotsof ingredients and cheese was melted to perfection. I had the spicy pineapple Paloma which unfortunately had been sloshed aroundduring transport so 99% of the tajin rim was gone. That’s where our positive experience stopped. After receiving our drinksand appie we proceeded to wait an additional hour plus for our mains and our table was passed by multiple times, the serverseeming to cater to the other tables that only had adults in their parties. Forgot the water my daughter had asked for and neverexpressed any concern or touched based on how long our food was taking. Our food finally arrived and my middle daughter andoldest complained about their hot dog and veggie burger being cold but ate it anyway. My broccoli cheddar soup was also not evenhot enough to melt the shredded cheese in it. I had ordered a side of sweet potato fries as they were out of the loaded friesand our server recommended them as an alternative. I ate one and it clearly wasn’t cooked as it was still hard not soft. Weate quickly as we just wanted to leave, had planned on getting desert but decided as a group to go elsewhere. The serverdidn’t even ask why I hadn’t touched the sweet potato fries and at 5$ for a handful that seems like an oversight on hispart. We settled up and headed elsewhere for dessert, it had only been about 30 minutes since we’d left. The dessert had justarrived and my oldest rushed to the toilet and proceeded to feel/get ill. Very busy and had to wait almost an hour to sit. I had tried to make a reservation earlier in the day but they would not accept... it and said 1st come 1st served. Food was average at best, which is quite good considering what these big franchise restaurantshave become over the past few years. Service was good and price was ok. We might go back again some day. Very prompt courteous service. Prices are a wee bit on the high side. Food piping hot and tasty.

Pretty “meh” meal for me but I guess what you would expect from a chain-type restaurant. Not much curry flavour, zero spice,... a lot of vegetables and very little chicken. I was super excited to order my fav their balsamic chicken, my husband got the rib/wing combo and our daughters split a sirloin... steak meal. It was so disappointing to say the least... Everything was burnt (my chicken tasted so strongly of charcoal withbarely any sauce, which was the entire reason for us ordering from Kelsey's), the steak was not medium rare and the veggies werebarely steamed. The only thing I enjoyed was their broccoli cheddar soup which is always amazing. I don't normally complain butwhen I called their response was to just send out a voucher which I haven't received it yet but I doubt it comes close to thealmost $100 we spent on inedible food. We usually love Kelsey's but we always go to Belleville location :( Update: I received aprompt personal message from the restaurant apologizing for the food not being up to standards and asking for us to give themthe chance to make it right on our next visit. It shows how much they value their customers opinions and our patronage. Nice location in Kingston. Very festive on the outside to draw you in. The staff are very friendly and courteous. Place was... quarter full at lunch, service was ok. They have a nice selection on the menu, food quality is good. The place is neat and tidy.I'd repeat coming back. Read more
