We stopped by on Monday of the past long weekend after our original destination was closed for the day. This was our first time... in the place. My expectations were not too high since it is a pub. Their on tap selection is amazing. Definitely found somethingI like. And all our food was very good. The service was great and I did tip very generously for it. I do recommend this place. We really enjoy the Red House West for many reasons. Parking is a breeze. No downtown scramble to get a spot. It's just off the... 401 so you can meet a bunch of friends, no hassle. The menu is varied for each type of preference. The food is great, theservice is excellent, the pub is very clean and they have an excellent choice of local and popular beverages. The open air patiois inviting and there is ample seating inside, whether it's a table for 2 or a large group of friends. I can only provide a 3 star right now - not based on the food but based on the service and incorrect orders. Recently watched... one table look at their food and it was obvious they were missing something. The lack of care from the server was less thanforgiving..seems they were missing bacon on their sandwiches and literally a plate of bacon was brought to their table...as formy friend and I, I asked for my dressing to be on the side for my greek salad - it was mixed in and although I commented that Iasked for it on the side and was offered for it be redone - due to my severe allergies I was afraid to send it back. My friendhad asked for bacon on her burger and french fries...no bacon and Caesar salad is what she received. Less than admiral servicesadly because it is a great place in the west end. Read more
This is what the $30 braised ribs looks like! Thought I was at a cafeteria for a second - is this a Gordon Food Service meal?... Server said she could bring me some more potatoes I guess to fill some space on the plate(?) LOL Read more
Fishy fish tacos. The description said cod but it was 50/50 salmon and cod which I wouldn't have ordered had I known. Staff is... super friendly. I bet the other food is a solid 3/5 stars. Read more
Another great pub I both the West end as well as downtown. My preference is the one located in the West end off of Gardiners... road. Great selection of draft beer and limited but tasteful menu. Read more
