Great local downtown restaurant! Was stunned at portion sizes. I couldn't finish my "long hot grilled cheese" but cannot wait... for the leftovers! Creamy, spicy, crunchy in all the right ways. Truffle Parm fries were excellent, with plenty of flavor andseasoning. Homemade potato chips were crispy and not over salted. Dirty chai was good, but, my fault, I didn't know or ask, thata shot of espresso made it dirty. That's on me. The rest, was the work of a great lunch spot in Pittston! Read more
First visit. Great location downtown. Nice veggie omelet. Nice wait staff. Just good all the way around. Took my son who lives... out of town for lunch a few days later. Each had a sandwich. He said this is on his stop when he's back in town. Read more
The food is absolutely amazing, the people that work there are very kind. on weekdays when you order food it comes faster than... on the weekends but it?s not that big of a difference. The inside is a very comfortable environment, it isn?t loud, and thecolors really tie everything together. There are both booths and tables. When me and my family went it was my sister?s birthdayand the owner knows us so she gave my sister an birthday cake cookie, with a candle. My husband and I live within walking distance of Canteen Central and after having breakfast there this morning for the first... time, that is a blessing. I had a delicious veggie omelet with cinnamon raisin toast and an Americano coffee. They had bakedgoods that looked so mouth watering tasty and the menu has something for everyone. This place is absolutely lovely. From the moment I walked in I was impressed; the Cantina feels very comfortable and casual, the... kind of place you feel like you can just drop in to eat. The wait staff was attentive and polite, and they made myself and myfriend feel quite comfortable. The open air feel, courtesy of the large opening windows, gave the Cantina a "street dining"feel, something you can't get in Pittston anywhere else. The menu is pretty diverse, but I ordered their signature sandwich withchips, as well as an iced coffee. They did not disappoint. The portion sizes were excellent, and the sandwich was cooked toperfection. It was delicious, yet simple; the chips (cooked on-site) were tasty and well done. Seeing the large sandwich comeacross the room was delightful; the presentation of the iced coffee even more so. We eat with our eyes first, and my eyes wereimmensely pleased. The coffee was a cold can of coffee served with a small pitcher of cream, a glass of ice, and sugar packetson the side. (I substituted the sugar packets with brown sugar from the kitchen, which they happily provided.) The drink wasdelicious, refreshing, and and very smooth. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I look forward to returning once therestaurant properly opens. The only complaint might be the pricing; it's a little high for the average income bracket of thearea, but I didn't really feel like I overpaid. The experience was a treat and well worth paying for. Well! The food tasted good the juices were overwhelming...the lemonade tasted like water with few drops of artificial lime...the... mango smoothie tasted like mango soap...the service was tooo slow! The place?s not organized, we sat ourselves in a table withleftovers and other tables were not clean also. The decor is sooooo noisy for the eyes, it gives a negative vibe. My clients picked this spot for lunch and I ordered the chicken sandwich. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked... in and was greeted by a really nice man. I picked up the food, paid and left. When I dug in my sandwich it was very tasty. Ienjoyed the taste of the sauce they added. The chips I could of done without.
