We had a lovely meal here with our friends. Pleasant, friendly & cute little gem.

The food was excellent, service as well. The only reason I’m giving 4 but not 5, is that the food comes out too quickly.... Almost like a fast food place. We had to put our main course on hold, so we are not done in 45 minutes, tops. We finished fromappetisers to desserts within an hour. It’s about experience, not the speed. But, that aside, everything else was great.That’s worth 5 stars. I’d go back, just slow down the pace. Read more

Discovered this hidden gem along the trail of Chrysler Canada Greenway. An old train station converted to a lovely restaurant.... Stopped in for some beverages and an appetizer. Very friendly service but not cheap at all. Cocktails on average are about $14each and they don't do large sizes. Will definitely go back for dinner. Food smelled great!! Had a amazing experience with my date. Took her for the dinner and she was quite happy. However coustumer service was not that... great, had to wait for a while. We were in date so it was ok for us to wait but in normal dinner time gosh, it would be tiring.However the food was good, only drawback is service. Read more

Mettawa’s is one of our favourite places to go. The vibe is wonderful. The restaurant is nestled on a lovely piece of property... in Kingsville (many dogs walk by so it’s my favourite spot to « dog watch » instead of people watch). The staff arefriendly and helpful with ordering and their specials are usually scrumptious!! The interior is small, cozy, wooden and even hasa fireplace to make it that much more welcoming. They also serve warm bread with this delicious mix of sun dried tomatoes, oliveoil and who knows what else. I always have to stop myself from devouring the entire loaf so I don’t ruin my dinner! Picturedbelow is what we ordered on our last visit in March for my birthday: Arancini, the steak with peppercorn sauce, veal withmushrooms and the special dessert which was to die for pistachio cheesecake with honey drizzle. Side note: normally we wouldrate this spot a 5/5 stars but our March experience was really upsetting. We went for my birthday and a lot went wrong. OurArancini was cold on the inside, my steak had to be sent back because my medium rare was more of a blue rare, and the bread camelate. This was just a one off, never happened before but our waitress was amazing about everything which made the experience abit better - was just upset as it was my birthday celebration and wasn’t to its usual flawless standards. Delightful surprise in our trip to explore Southwestern part of Windsor-Essex. With have not intention to have a fancy dinner,... but it was a fancy dinner after all.
