Let me start with saying we loved The Grove when it was on Main, we would eat there frequently. However we went yesterday with... our wedding party of 10 people, we called a couple days ahead and booked a table for 3:30PM not a busy time for a Fridayafternoon. We were told from the get-go our group would have to be squeezed in and will be only allowed to use the "large groupmenu". When we arrived the brewery was roughly 20-25% capacity. We were not allowed to have us all sit at the same table, wewere not allowed to turn our tables to join as one big table. When our menus came out they only offered 4 app options, 3-4entrees and 4 mains. The usual menu is much larger and we noticed a few people just tables away with full menus. At the bottomof our menu read *all items on this menu have a 18% gratuity already added* mind you as someone who has worked in service, Ialways tip well. I understand what it's like to serve. The server was a bit cold, but not rude. We finished our first round ofdrinks (great as always) and left for Kingsville Brewery where our massive group of 10 was greeted with welcome arms. First time visit as we were vacationing in the area from Ohio. We didn't have much choice because most places around here are... closed on Monday. However we were very happy with the Grove brewery and would come back any day of the week if we were here. They accommodated us with a booth at about 5:00 p.m.,even though we didn't have a reservation. We were impressed with thequality of the vegetarian offerings we had--hummus and salads, and the portions were huge. Come hungry! My husband and I went twice in one day (a lot of restaurants are closed in Kingsville on Mondays). I?m giving it a 3 because... lunch was a 4 and but dinner was a 2. Thin crust pizza and the wings and fries at lunch were delicious. Grove House IPA andcream ale are YUM! Service was good, atmosphere and decor really industrial and cool. Dinner unfortunately was not great,despite having a lot of staff service was super slow, no plates or cutlery, no offer of water? mussels were over cooked, dry andfishy? nachos underwhelming. The Paradise Sour cocktail was delicious. Servers at dinner lacked energy/personality and zestand did not engage or seem to enjoy their job, we felt ignored and rushed out (she cleared without asking if we were done)?thankfully we had a great lunch experience so we will still recommend for pizza and great beer!
