The venue is beautiful. I attended a Murder Mystery Dinner that was poorly organized. Needless to say the the restaurant was not... prepared. I think it was due to poor communication. Definitely won't do that again. By the way the crew that did the MurderMystery were awesome. They certainly didn't deserve the poor organization from whoever was in charge. Read more

Peter Allen Inn Is absolutely breath taking! I recommend going in the fall as the colors of the changing leaves are stunning and... add to the beauty of the Inn. I attended a wedding and was blown away by the atmosphere, the food, the accommodations and thestaff. It was such a treat to stay in such a beautifully exquisite and cozy room with a fireplace! My mom and I and my stepdad went out to meet our cousins from Conneaut,Ohio for lunch / dinner. Their lunch menu didn't have a... wide variety so, we ask for the dinner menu. Much better variety of food to choose from. Anyway I've the P A I ( Peter AllenInn) burger with fries. Excellent burger big and juicy with lettuce tomato and onions. Fries was delicious too.I also hadMango Mojito as the drink to go with my lunch/dinner. As a dessert i had creme brulee. Not bad could be better though. Thewaitress Chrissy who served the seven of us was excellent. Always made sure we had everything. She never miss a beat serving usand she was the only waitress downstairs too! Definitely a nice place to have a wedding party. Plenty of spots for parking. Perfect day for a wedding and perfect setting as... well. They have a nice bar, lounge and patio as we waited for the wedding ceremony to begin. The appetizers were excellent, fewdifferent types of cheeses, bruchetta, fresh vegetables, bite sized tomatoes, celery, peppers, crackers, water and drinks werealso available. The reception was under the big tent with a bar as well. The food was good and their ice tea was amazing, tastedas they used honey in place of sugar. We went for dinner. It was a really nice little restaurant! The menu was a bit limited, but I feel manageable in that everyone... could find something to eat. The ingredients were fresh and the food was presented really beautifully. I had penne and shrimp,and it was really good! The building and grounds are beautiful. Bigger folks, just be aware that the chairs inside downstairshave wrap around arms. I had problem fitting, but could be uncomfortable for others. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, but unfortunately that’s the only good thing. I had my baby shower there on 6/25/22, and to... say it was a disappointment would be an understatement. The “event” manager Katherine was extremely uninvolved incommunication, and quite honestly very unprofessional with the whole planning process months prior to the event. I would have tocall or email several times just to get a short answered response from her. About a month before the event, we went in person totalk with her and pick the menu, but she left in the middle of the day for a personal birthday party. This was after I was toldI could come at any time to meet with her. I had called on 6/23/22 to discuss the final count of guests attending, and to makesure there would be enough seating, and extra tables for gifts/favors. She told me she would send an email with a layout of theroom to approve for Saturday-an email again, I never received. When I arrived on Saturday, I knew there was not enough seatingor extra tables for the gifts/favors that I had called about. When I asked about adding an extra table, at least for seatingpurposes, the girls working rolled their eyes and were very reluctant to do so. Now we come to the biggest problem of all- thefood. Of course being pregnant, this was the part of the shower I was looking forward to the most. Don’t let the menu you pickfrom fool you, because it is absolutely not what you will get. I picked the sandwich buffet which was supposed to include: 2types of half sandwiches, salad, gourmet chips, and fruit. Plus I added on dessert for an additional $4 per person (which Ithought was supposed to be an assorted variety). I was quoted $757 for the food alone, for 25 people. When I saw the small setupof the food, I could have cried. I was so embarrassed. The sandwiches were so dry you had to take a sip of water just to swallowa bite. Beautiful inn and restaurant. We had lunch outside and the grounds are gorgeous. Ordered the purine with briskit app and it was... delishious. Tuna sandwich had a huge piece of tuna steak. The zucchini salad with grilled chicken was excellent. Great service. Read more
