Slow service took almost an hour to get food not that it matters much but they were empty shouldn't have taken an hour. Had to... ask for silverware after our food was served. Drinks were flat tea was bad. I'm sure the pot stickers were frozen consideringhow soggy they were. When it was time for our check it took another 30 minutes to get it and when we did it was wrong. That isto blame on the manager the waiters aren't allowed to punch in the order apparently. I won't be going back. Read more
2nd time dining. 1st time was good so this time I took friends. Our bill was over $75 for lunch. Their Famous Hot/Sour Soup was... mostly Soy Sauce. Their Fried Wontons were burnt ½ way down on all the wontons. My beef Indian Curry was not edible. And thewaitress was just so-so. Complete opposite of my 1st visit. I don't complain as there is no need and I did leave a tip. I justwill not go back or recommend it to anyone else. Just shocked at the difference in 4 weeks time. Read more
Really enjoyed my dining experience ! The food was good, nice staff, & everything was clean. My first time eating here but will... be back to dine again. I'm so happy that Kinston is finally getting more places to go out to eat at that are clean, nice & goodfood. I love how they are trying hard to improve the downtown area . It is looking good & i hope things keep on improving & more& more small businesses open up. I love parking then being able to just walk from store to store shopping ,eating or justenjoying the cute little downtown atmosphere. Read more
Was definitely not what we were expecting. Not much fusion about this place or the menu. When we got there and ordered drink the... guy that brought us our drink spilled our beers almost on my 2 year old daughter. I get it everyone has a bad night so webrushed it off. Then we ordered appetizers which were mediocre we ordered our food and didn't see either of our servers for over40 minutes. The couple next to us that got there 15 minutes after us had their food 10+ minutes before us. When they brought ourour food they completely forgot our daughters food and could not even figure who was supposed to be our server to figure outwhat had happened. When we finally got our daughters mac and cheese out you could tell they just tossed it in the microwave. 2out of the 4 meals we got were so bad we didn't even eat but 1 bite of them. We talked to managers and they at least took macand cheese off and took a bit off our bill but was a terrible experience. Read more
I've honestly haven't been to a place before where all the food we ordered was equally bad. I was really excited for this place... based on the reviews. I would hope that based on their reviews this was a fluke. Maybe a new cook or something? Butunfortunately it was too bad to go back and take another gamble. Read more
We went to another restaurant and didn't get served, so we came here. So glad that we came to laughing owl as the hostess was... very sweet and our waitress Charmaine was awesome! She took great care of us. The food was amazing a little spicy but good. Wealso ordered the fried cheesecake, omg so good. Will definitely come back. Thank you for making our night better after the firsthorrible experience from the other place. Read more
Santa visited the Laughing Owl tonight. The food was good, although it took some time for waitstaff to get to our table for our... drink order. We got Szechuan string beans with chicken, the spring rolls, and Pineapple Street chicken. I ordered the Singaporenoodles as a side, which was an option in the menu, but sadly, was only given lo mein noodles. The Singapore Noodles are areally good option, and I am sad I missed the opportunity to enjoy them tonight. There's always next time! Read more
