The worst fried halibut I've had at Ivar's and I've had a lot. Honestly, it tasted like cod. The texture was chewy and stringy,... like cod. I asked the person at the counter. He said he'll ask the kitchen and come back to me, but never did. Someone is tryingto make a quick buck selling cod for double the price. Or they got a really low quality fish. The fried salmon was also gray andbland. No way this is wild salmon (as listed on the menu), but at least it was salmon. I paid almost $100 for 4 plates. This isa fast-food restaurant for God's sake. It's gotten out of control. I give them one star for cleanliness and friendly (albeitunhelpful) staff. I don't think I'll visit again anytime soon, if at all. Makes me question going to Ivar's again. Love the fish and chips. Great chowder too but I rarely get it because I enjoy the fish and chips so much. One a nice day there... is a park across the street that is a great place to take your food and enjoy it. Read more
Great food with amazing water view. Enough parking around the building and easy access to the beach. Highly recommend place.
Love Ivar's Seafood Combo plus the amazing view! I was out looking for something to photograph and noticed the sun on the... Olympics! Ate lunch and went across the street to Houghton Park and got out my gear and started taking pictures. Read more
Always a great experience here! Good location, right on the Lake Blvd which is close to several beaches in Kirkland and close to... downtown which is a pretty place to walk and shop. I had the 3 piece Alaska cod and it was delicious! Quick service, just maybego outside of lunch hour to avoid a longer wait. Read more
Great location, across from a beach park with access to water, and children play area. Food is always great, especially the... fish and chips combos. I tried the both the cod and halibut ones and they are good. The combo comes with tartar and ketchup,and fries. Some seatings inside with windows to the lake, but the outside tables are great on a nice day. Some tables haveumbrella and others don't. -- Covid update. Very friendly staff and great location + parking. Recommend fish and chips and Salmon Chowder. Grilled halibut may not be a good... choice. I think it's either grilled from frozen or portion being very thin quickly overcooks. Read more
