I was feeling quite a bit down today and needed a serious pick me up. Enter the fabulous Lady Yum! They had just what I needed... to uplift my spirits. With a wide selection of gluten-free choices to appease my sweet tooth, this is one place I know I cancome back to. The lady behind the counter with the bright red hair was so sweet and so helpful, just like a macaron! I chose anassortment to last me a bit and of course my boyfriend got some too. Drove 45 mins to come to Lady Yum after getting a recommendation from a friend, and it was totally worth it! I don't remember... the last time I had good French Macarons was, so I was really looking forward to this. The options of flavors was justunbelievable! We had some really nice seasonal ones still related to fruit like percussion fruit, lavender, watermelon, peach.And then all the regular ones like th vanilla, espresso, strawberry, chocolate, oatmeal cookie, toffee, raspberry chardonnay,salted caramel. I went for the Vanilla bean and the Raspberry Chardonnay and they were just beyond amazing! The shells werejust perfectly fresh and crispy, and a really beautiful filling as well! The vanilla was simple and perfect and I think I mighteven have like that the most! The raspberry was perfectly sweet as well and even had a jam filling on the inside. Such abeauty! My friend got the Almond Peach Prosecco , Wild Strawberry and Raspberry Chardonnay as well, and really loved themall! I tried both first two as well and they were really nice. Very fruit-y! Another friend had the Salted Caramel and the WildStrawberry, and all she had to say was 'Oh My God' on repeat! Even mention how these are beyond any other macarons she has everhad before! The store has a really cute aesthetic vibe; very photogenic! The person working at the counter was really nice aswell. We really connected on our understanding of keeping a palate when having desserts; especially after I mentioned I have afood blog. She also have us extra macaroons from the ones that weren't pretty enough to make the cut for sale, but we're stillgood. 100 a must try! Read more
