Sorry but the price for 1 fillet of Halibut is too much. The cod was good but nothing I'd get again since it was so expensive... for what you get. The fries aren't seasoned or special or crisp enough. The Cole slaw has too much horseradish and you have topay for sauces except catsup. What was especially bad was the clam chowder. It was liquidy with hardly any clams or potatoes. Ihad chowder from Ivers in the Airport and it was thick, chock full of clams and potatoes! So good! The service was 5 stars andthat's why I am rating Spud at a 3. Read more

Tiny portions and super expensive, I'll never buy from this place again! I spent $28 on "triple cod & chips", and it was... TINY...I guess "triple" just means 3 tiny thin pieces of fish. All 3 pieces combined was the size of my fist! My entire orderincluding the french fries was the size of a hamburger. Go anywhere else for food! Read more

I haven't been to Spuds since a former friend worked at the north Seattle location way back around 1989. I remember a light... cornmeal breading, big pieces of cod, crispy & fluffy fries, deliciousness. This was not that, whatsoever 33 years later. Thecod was wet under the breading, which is a sign of a frozen product. The prawns were small. The fries overcooked. The meals ran$35 a piece including tip and that my friends is approaching Anthony's and surpassing Red Lobster in cost. The quality is nolonger there. Read more

A pretty good place with decent classics at an okay price. A little spendy and not terribly unique but it's a reliable level of... quality and taste which will take care of your fish and chip needs reliably. Good for a hot summer day while walking near thewater. Maybe not worth a specific trip. Read more

I'm normally not so hard on restaurants, but $10.20 for barely more than a handful of shrimp tossed in Franks Red Hot is insane.... Not even fries at this price. The rest of the family enjoyed their food, but some of their portions were on the small side forthe price as well. Read more

Other reviewers are wrong. This place has the best fish & chips in Seattle period. Fancy sit down down places try too hard and... lack flavor in their fish like they are going for health? The coating is buttery and tasty and holds up better than Ivars. Ifyou know a better spot than Spud tell me so I can try it and tell you you're wrong and why. Read more

Great location just across from Juanita beach park. Limited seating inside. But plenty tables outside. Very friendly and... cheerful service. We received very generous portions for our single and double cod orders. Foods are served hot hot hot just outthe fryer. The fries are thick - the way we like. Cod was a bit less juicy than my personal preference. But still very good.Dining room is clean and well maintained. Read more

Excellent fish and chips and more at this long time Northwest Institution. This review is for the location in Juanita. I don't... think I've ever had better fish and chips than at spuds. Go there and try it and you will see why. There are three otherlocations, Alki Beach, Greenlake and a new one in Edmonds. But the Juanita location is the best, the inside was remodeled a fewyears ago and looks great. The park is right across the street, so you can get your food and go and eat it in the park if it's asunny day. Great service, friendly staff, can't go wrong here. Read more
