Potentially the worst meal I've ever paid for. Both burgers were ordered medium or medium rare and came much closer to hockey... pucks. Fries were not done and the other side was burnt to a crisp. And to top it off it took 30 plus minutes on a slow night. Manager took 30% off but we didn't eat 30% off the food...... I've had great meals here but not this time.... Read more
TASTY, LARGE, filling Salads, but overpriced. Thought i was paying for Beef. Greeters and most waitstaff (the younger ones) show... extreme lack of desire to be there. "No matter what your job, waiter/waitress, janitor, doctor, or rocket scientist, Give a 100%& do your best, take pride in everything you do!" That is how tips are larger, and clients return. We went on a recommendation from a friend when we were on a little getaway at another friend's cabin. Maxwell's is a gem! Lots... of board games to keep you entertained, tvs for game watching and a really great staff. They were welcoming and kind, whichisn't always our experience as an interracial couple in MO. Igor, our waiter was attentive without overdoing it. He knew themenu inside and out and gave great suggestions. The food was magnificent, very tasty and reasonably priced. Can I give sixstars? My wife and I decided to go to Maxwell's on our date night Tuesday September 6th and we were more than pleased with the... experience! The food was excellent, very reasonable prices (almost seemed too cheap for the portion of food you receive), theatmosphere was perfect for what we were looking for, the staff were courteous / polite and our waiter (Egor) was very attentive.I mean, where else can you go in town to have a good meal, play a couple games of pool for a couple quarters, have a hugeassortment of other board games (for free I might add) and be treated like your business matters????? Nice selection of salads and burgers for lunch and the kids love the chicken tenders and Monkey fries. My wife loves the Great... Maxwell on Gluten Free bread. Most prodigious selection of Bourbons in Northern Missouri that will surely be a challenge totaste them all! Read more
Maxwell?s has a lot to offer. Upscale atmosphere, great craft beer selection on draft (rotating), a fairly diverse menu, and the... food itself is quite good. I usually get the chicken tenders tossed in Buffalo sauce. Extremely good. Now, an entree and a beerwill run you a solid $20 before tip. So it?s not the most affordable place in Kirksville. But I think it commands these pricesdue to being the only place of its kind in the whole town. Read more
