The absolute best Mexican food we have ever had since leaving California. Carlos is an exceptional server with charisma,... knowledge, and friendliness. Every entree we have tried on their menu has been beyond our expectations. They are in a greatlocation with a fantastic atmosphere. We will definitely be returning again, and again! Read more

Visiting El Borrego on my trip to Florida I had hoped to taste some authentic Mexican Cuisine, unfortunately that was not what I... received. The seating is minimal indoors with sufficient outdoor seating. Our server was very kind to us. Our appetizer wasqueso and chips which was serviceable nothing above average. Most of the people at our table ordered burritos and most of us hadsome issue. The burritos were not great the beef was the best part personally the rice was the worst of it. It is clear that therice at the very least is not authentic and store bought with minimal seasoning added I was severely disappointed. The food alltogether was mostly bland and expensive I can only give it 2 stars because our service was good at least the food was edible. But that's the best I can say for El Borrego Read more

Found this nice little restaurant in Old Town. We started the evening with chips with Salsa and Guacamole. The Guacamole was... really fresh and both that and salsa were good with the chips. Then we had the Elote and Mexican string cheese ( Queso Fundido).Elote had a little more lime than we thought but it was good overall (we like limes). Both entree were Carne Asada tacos and theEl Chamorro. Both tasted great!!! In old town and want to Mexican cuisine, then give this spot a try Read more

Fabulous Mexican restaurant in Old Town! We ordered the lamb (Borrego) in sauce and it was so delicious and tender. My husband... had the chicken quesadilla which he really enjoyed. The staff was friendly and very accommodating! We ate out in the patioand it was wonderful! Good food, great service! Read more

This is a decent Yucatan Mexican restaurant. Beware that this is not a traditional Tex-Mex restaurant, but one that has food... traditionally from the Yucatan Peninsula in southern Mexico. At first glance, the menu does not seem to have many greatvegetarian options. However, they do have enchiladas (that were not listed on the menu) and can make vegetable or cheeseenchiladas. The both come with rice and blended black beans. Unfortunately the cheese enchiladas were a little too chewy and thecheese was not very melted. Read more

Great food, great selection of food. If you're from England this is head and shoulders above any of the rubbish we get. Good... choice of beers, good service and excellent banter with Albert who is a diamond. Come eat, drink and enjoy. Recommended...especially on Mondays as it's 2 for 1 on the margaritas. Double bubble. Read more

Ask for Jose! This is the best kept secret in the area! We found this place on Taco Tuesday and we are so glad we did. The food... is absolutely amazing! We started out with 4 different flavors of taco plates but ended up ordering 1 of all 7 flavors! Makesure you ask for Jose because he know everything on the menu like the back of his hand and is fantastic at describing all thedifferent flavors. If you're in the Old Town area, do yourself a favor and give this place a try. Read more
