My husband and I went to Studio Movie Grill yesterday to watch the ?Elvis? movie. It was our first time at this type of ?fork... and screen? theater so we really didn?t know what to expect. The lobby was sleek and modern looking (almost sterile) with abank of automated ticket kiosks and a bar over on the side. Since ticket and food sales are only done via app or kiosk, therewas not the usual smell of buttered popcorn in the air or movie posters anywhere. This had more of a hotel lobby vibe than acinema. The actual theater we were in was TINY and only had four rows of reclining seats. We made the mistake of going on aTuesday where ticket prices are slashed so the theater was full of reclining people eating pizza, popcorn, nachos, etc. We tookour places in the front row but despite the seats ability to recline, we still had to crick our necks for almost three hours tosee all the action on the screen. My husband and I agreed that after this experience, we are not fans of the ?fork and screen?concept. Having servers continually buzzing around during the movie is distracting. (Though to be fair, the staff was niceenough and the facility looked quite clean.) I realize that this is the direction in which theaters in general will probablygo. Can't recommend this place right now , if everything worked it would be a great premium experience. Went here to see a movie... with my family and order lunch. First issue was that they were out of most things on the menu, I did check their website beforeI went but I guess that is only what they would have normally, after figuring out lunch was not an option due to lack of items,we improvised with some snacks, went thru everything bit when we went to check out, the system said that one of the items wasnot available, none of the attendants were able to figure it out so we had to cancel the whole order (with all the wasted time,keep in mind we were up against a deadline for the movie to start), one inside the theater the attendant was nice and effient(hence the 2 stars), so they are certainly charging a premium price for tickets and food but not really delivering on a premiumexperience, hopefully they can figure out their technical and supply issues in the future Read more
What a great experience. I went with my hubby to see an UFC fight. We didn't reserve our tickets online but you can do it if you... want. At the lobby, there's a screen where you buy your tickets $25 per person) and seats and then you can select from theirfood and drinks variety (soft, alcoholic, etc) on the same screen. They will be delivered directly to your seat if you want(best of all). They have a bar on their entrance. In case you need more of their food or drinks service you would just push abutton on the right side of your seat and they will come and take your order and charge your card right there. Oh my... Now this is a theater! Tickets are slightly more than regular theaters, but average priced for the seating. You pick... your seats from the get-go and let me tell you, those recliners are a god-send. I'd almost be scared to fall asleep in them asthey are quite comfy. You can order food with the tickets and set a delivery time to your seat. From your seat, you can orderanything from mixed drinks to whole burgers. Very nice arrangement of food and well air-conditioned. The screen was croppedcorrectly and even seemed to have a higher resolution than I'm used to. They did a great job, and the service team and crewshould feel proud for keeping it so. Read more
First time here and Wow.. what a great theater to get some great food and drinks and enjoy a movie !!! All the employees were... friendly and the service was awesome !!! We had a pre movie drink at the bar and ordered food to munch on while watching amovie. The Buffalo chicken flat bread was incredible and we will definitely be going back !! Read more
Super clean and new looking theater. Tickets were a good price and we could have ordered food or drinks at the push of a button.
I really enjoyed this movie theater, very clean and great service. The chairs recline and you have a table and at the touch of a... button some comes and takes your order. They sell good food and snacks. And the movie tickets only cost $9. The screen is hugeand the sound and quality is amazing. Read more
UPDATE: Yesterday was my 7th time to see Maverick and the 3rd time at this theater. I had the Buffalo Chicken Pizza and it was... terrible. All burnt and with a terrible processed full of chemicals taste. Even the blue cheese was not pleasant to dip theburnt crust into. I was really hoping the food was better. They have a very large kitchen and the first time I was here, thefood was so aromatic. I guess the burgers must be a hit. From what I can taste, nothing else is. Also, the one thing I now knowfor sure, seats do not recline. But foot rest does elevate so that?s a plus. I don?t know why reviewers are noting that seatsrecline back. There?s not enough space between the isles to allow for chairs to go into a horizontal position. The Cinepolis atWinterGarden has full reclining seats and elevated foot rest. That?s an awesome experience. ?-// First time at this theater andit?s quite impressive. I don?t recall seeing any theaters in New York where you can pour your own brew. Went there to see TopGun: Maverick for the third time and there?s definitely a big notable difference between viewing the film in IMAX & a regularscreen. And for some reason this screen seemed smaller than your standard movie theater screen. This theater is a eat-in whileviewing type of cinema. They have a full operational hotel type kitchen with personalized seated service. And that, was thedownside for me. I guess the concept of eating lunch or dinner while watching a film is something to get used to. The waitstaff going up, down and across during the showing was a bit distracting. And one thing is for sure, the food had a great aroma.A lot of barbecue something was the highlight of all the dishes I saw pass by.
